I am a level 57 and just finished playthrough 2. if i did one last playthrough and just run through it in about 8 hours(on insane with xp bonus from achievement) max doing main missions will i get a 60 by the end? if anyone knows accurately please help.

you should.... however, check out how much more xp you need before going to virmire, if it seems like a close call then do some side missions... it's better than having to make another run through just to get a level 60 character



you will need over 862k exp... (but under 863k, still aim for over 863k just to be safe).



Levels like Ilos and the end of the game don't yield a lot of xp compared to feros, noveria, and virmire... obviously you won't get too much from eden prime either



Do all of the quick and easy xp missions right there in the citadel and like I said, see where you are at before heading to virmire to see if you may need to get in some side missions.

i just finished all four main planets and i'm off the citadel again. and i still have just under a 100k left before level 60. ugh. i guess i will have to do a couple side missions before i go to ilos. I think the geth activity one is around 20k alone after you go to all 5 planets.

so confirmed. just did the side mission geth incursions before going to ilos to get some nice exp to ensure my level 60 and on insane this mission gets you around 45k alone. i am now only 40k out from 60 with ilos still left to do. yay!!!

how do u do a 2nd playthrough

you gotta just do new game. and then it will give you a choice to upload an existing id and you should see your character from 1st playthrough. prob around a level 40-50

I don't think I am going to make level 60... I am a high level 58, and I still have Ilos, and end-game left to do. However, I still have A LOT of side missions left to do.

I'm wondering if I'll make level 60 on my 2nd time playing my original Shepherd character. Finished Therum, Noveria, and Feros and am at level 58. Still have Virmire left and plenty of side missions. Based on what others have said I guess I'll make sure to get all the assignments done before I go to Virmire and hope I'll make 60.

Yeah, I had to start a 3rd playthrough to get it unfortunately. Oh well, finally finished all of the achievements...

Do people only do the main quests? I reached level 43 on my first play through, no problem, without doing all the side quests.

I did a very thorough first playthrough and reached lvl 50, and only enough on my second to get ally achievements, finish DLC, etc. and reached lvl 59. I was about halfway to 60, so I just got to Therum and used the XP glitch for about 30 minutes to get to 60.

I didn't take into account that you don't level up as fast in higher levels. That makes sense.

I probably won't ever reach level 60 because I don't like replaying the same characters.

On my first playthrough i reached Level 50 without any of the two DLCs. On my second playthrough i reached Level 60 two side missions before i went to Ilos, but with "Bring down the Sky" and "Pinnacle Station".

And you do know that in your case you need a complete 3rd playthrough to have a level 60-save for ME2?

Yeah Galford, I do. However, it wasn't that big of a deal to me as I have all ready beaten Mass Effect 2 twice. I was just going back and finishing up some achievements. No big. I found getting to 60 a little too much of a chore like Kryyptehk said, because of using the same character.

if you JUST got lvl 57 when you finished your last playthrough and your going to do an insanity rush, then i would say doubtful, i was a 56 after one playthrough and i did all the assignments and main quest missions and ended up with just getting to 59 and i too had xp bonus achievements, i would do at least a few assignments to be sure just so you don't have to do a whole other playthrough to make it to 60, hope i inspired lol

I am not sure if this question was answered yet or not, but I happened to make it to a Level 60.  I played over 100 hours on the game and finally hit Level 60.  BE WARNED: When you hit Level 60, you no longer get experience points, so I am capped out on Level 60 and I don't have all my Squad stats maxed.  Oh well.  I guess it's alright.  I just wanted to let you know that if you put a lot of time into it and don't mind playing through the same game over and over again, you should reach Level 60.  Hope this answer helps.

Just confirming that I had no problem reaching level 60 by playing my original Shepherd character a second time.  I made sure to complete all available assignments before I went to Virmire and hit level 60 about halfway through Virmire.

You are already level 57. If you go to Virmire and kill all the enemies on foot...you can get level 60.

Level 57 can get to 60 in Virmire? Thank god! I am actually doing ALL the sidequests right now and reached level 59 (from 57), and I'm 100k away from 60...

Virmire has a lot of Geth Colossus...taking every enemy on foot is enough to get you to 60!
