Hi all, i am still near the beginning of ME2 (curse you for releasing on a tuesday) and i am playing as a sentinel. I am wondering if i can train myself to use assault rifles. As it stands i can only use a pistol and an smg. Anyone know if you can actually become proficient in a weapon type you did not start with?
I thought it best not to ask this in the ME2 forum since i am trying to stay spoiler-free

I'm not sure what each class has available, but I can tell you I got the option to pick an extra weapon training from following the main story on my first play through as a Vanguard. Assault Rifle was among them.
