I found ME2's saved game load time suspiciously  long given I have it installed on an SSD. Turns out, it's playing that entire 15 second loading video whether it needs the delay or not.

I replaced Mass Effect 2\\BioGame\\Movies\\load_f01.bik with a blank bik file. Loads in about 3-4 seconds now. :P YMMV depending on your system.

Genius! I too was wondering why it saves so quick but loads so slow. Now I'm loading in 3-4s too.
I didn't know how to create my own blank bik file so I googled and used the ESRB.bik from http://www.tweakguid...Intro_GRAW2.zip
Oddly, the BF:V blanks didnt work. :s

Great tip :) Helped tons on a regular HDD too, takes like 1s to reload now after dying, and seems to be as fast for initial loads too, at least for the very first mission.

Did not notice any improvements in the loading times. But this did; social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/766068/2

Thanks for the link to the 2kb blank bik files. Those work much more often than 0kb fake ones. My load time for my current save is now 1s at the loading screen instead of 15!

That's silly.

BTW - bioware should allow us to post tickets to their bugzilla. See - here is issues, we talked about it and we don't know if they even know about it :(
