The romance scene for Thane is the much better one of the two I think.

Thane is a fish.

If Thane were fish like then he wouldn't have any problems living on the Hanar world. Drel are reptilian...which doesn't make it better, but less moist...

Garrus, definitely. Think of all you've been through! Plus, if you don't, I'd consider you...

*narrows eyes* a racist.

Racist for not dating a turian?  So should I ask you out then? ;D

I haven't done either, but since I tend to really get into my PC when I'm playing, I can't imagine (or justify) romancing Thane; I've known him for all of five minutes and he's dying. Garrus or Jacob would seem a more natural choice for me.

It depends on how much lubrication you want to use - gallon or quart. Both are scaley aliens with questionable compatibility, but hey, they're your lady parts, not mine, feel free to abuse them how you see fit. LMAO

[I would like to preface this post by saying it will sound very negative but I actually don't have anything against Thane. He is okay.]

I don't care for this argument about Thane being reptillian. That may be canon, but he still LOOKS like a fish.

If you're going to go for a reptile, then the Space Cowboy Cop Raptor is the clear winner.

LOL. Wouldn't worry for compatibility with Thane seeing his body model, but Garrus...Yeah...That could cause problems. ;)

Biology and compatibility aside, both romances are well-written and very different. IMO Garrus is more appealing, but I essentially don't like a lot of drama, so maybe that's why  dying Drell with Carth syndrome lost with essentially less melodramatic Turian.

Either one is better than Jacob. And Kaidan of course.

Any suggestions on which would be more interesting? Jacob is just human, so I skipped him. Personality wise, Thane is freaking cool though, but he is terminal.

On a more serious note, if Tali didn't have my heart, I'd have to pick Garrus, just because he's so cool.

Upon horrific realization that I couldn't have some sweet lesbian love in ME2 I'm facing the same problem right now. The siha-thing seems interesting and I'd rather dump Thane than Garrus later on so I can check Kelly.

Skip'em both, go for the Kelly fling or wait and pray for a half decent option in ME3.

Thane and Garrus had excellent romances, just because they're not "lolololgirlongirlzomgbewbies" romances doesn't mean they're not well written or enjoyable.

As a...well, I guess you'd call me a "Garrusmancer" (shudder), I'd have to say Garrus, but if you want logical reasons, I'd offer: Garrus's "love scene" is very sweet and endearing, and Thane just keeps blabbering on about his dead wife...shut up already!!

Thane's romance seemed more fleshed out than Garrus', to me. I mean, propositioning Garrus is literally like asking him for a quick turn in the straw while going the Thane route is more like slowly working up to the proposal.

Having said that, I still liked Garrus' sequence better. It just feels more right, and it sets up a (hopefully) epic confrontation between him and Kaidan in ME 3.

Neither, Garrus is totally a guy you go out with to start bar fights and Thane secretes hallucinogenic mucous over his entire body...

On second thought, I choose Thane, I suppose I could tolerate all of his moping and crying if I was stoned all the time.

Garrus has the cutest Romance option ever. Of course while getting his attention with cheesy pick-up lines, and then his whole response was kind of awkward, that's how Garrus is. Garrus isn't one to wear his emotions on his sleeve, only his guilt and mistakes. Also Garrus and Shepard totally complete each other. I mean with everything they've been through (like losing their teammates) they totally understand what's going on in the other's mind. They can be vulnerable and at ease in each other's arms and find some peace in their combined strength and resolve. Furthermore I loved the romance scene because it wasn't overly sexed up like all the other ones, but rather was sincere and passionate. You know the moment they gently touched heads, there was a complete and total connection between the two. I guess you can call it true love =)

Furthermore, I consider Thane as more of close friends anyways. Thane had a true love, and now has a kid he needs to focus on and reconnect with. He needs to get his priorities straight before he decides to engage in a relationship. Furthermore I'd never want to infringe upon the memory and impact of his wife.

So yeah. Garrus was the obvious and destined romance option for me <3

However I think it would be freaking awesome if he became a spectre. The me and him could bring justice to the galaxy one planet at a time! Starting with Omega of course.

Yi. Garrus. No being compared to a deceased former love? Check. Being with someone who's been your friend since forever and you can trust completely? Check. Sexy, sexy voice? Extra-check. >:P

As do I.
But the absence of bewbies does not reduce the quality of something that was not meant for the purpose of showing bewbies.
