The unborn child

The 5th old god is the dragon of beauty, though not very beautiful Ruck did say that the archdemon was beautiful, then there is flemeth who is a dragon and much about her is a mystery hence the 6th god ,the dragon of mystery.
Which means that the Morrigon's child is the future archdemon and last old god (she did say the child is an old god) the dragon of night
So we quelled one blight but paved the way for a future one?

however,i thought the real flemeth was dead and that the being that she summoned is what is there now, it could have been anything, maybe the spirit of one of the old dragons. Hehe just a thought.

You are correct. She felt sorrow and reget because she departed from her lover, not because she's about to destroy the world or whatever people like to speculate about her.Grey__Warden wrote...

2nd Old God to be risen n turned into Archdemon is Zazikel, the Dragon of Chaos.
3rd Old God to be risen n turned into Archdemon is Toth, the Dragon of Fire.
4th Old God to be risen n turned into Archdemon is Andoral, the Dragon of Chains.
5th Old Gold to be risen n turned into Archdemon is Urthemial, the Dragon of Beauty.
6th Old God yet to be risen n turned into Archdemon is Razikale, The Dragon of Mystery.
7th n final Old God yet to be risen n turned into Archdemon is Lusacan, the Dragon of Night.
I don't see how the 5th n 6th Old God's can be the same, 2 different name's, 2 different God's all together... I think that whatever Flemeth n Morrigan came up with is gonna play a big part in a later game... I wonder if the Architect knows about this so called baby or maybe it was planned all along between Flemeth n the Architect lol... Anythings possible

I'm speculating that the child is Lusacan.
By the way "Thor Rand" how goes the wheel of time?

This child could actually be why the darkspawn don't go away after the archdemon is slain, and thus the entire plot for the expansion. O_o
Except you can choose not to do the ritual....

I think you might be slightly confused here. God-child does not simply become the next Old God on down the line - Razikale and Lusacan are still chilling beneath the earth and are totally seperate from it.
Basically the kid is the non-corrupted bits of Urthemial and will remain as such.

Morrigon did say the child is an old god(spoiler?), and if the codex is rifght there are only 7 of them. 5 are dead which means 2 are left. The ritual is also flemeth's, and flemeth the human has been dead for some time i think, so it's whatever that's took over her that is planning all this, who knows what it is.
Maybe that's why is takes so long between blights, it takes time assume it's dragon form?
Well that's my funny theories any way

Not dead, shes been body jumping everytime a body gets too old. Hell, Morrigan doesn't even think shes dead when you slay her. The old hag's toughFocaccia wrote...

How could the child be Lusacan when that's a completely different dragon? The child takes the purified spirit of Urthemiel and will become him or something.

Yes, 5 of of the seven archdemons have been slain, but there are still two actual, physical dragons asleep beneath the earth. The names refer to actual dragon not just names given to the Archdemons when they rise.

As I understand it (I haven't beaten the game yet, but I've spoiled myself on this part), when an archdemon is killed, its soul tries to enter the nearest body that contains the darkspawn Taint. Normal darkspawn have no souls, so the archdemon gets a brand-new body, with no fuss. When a Grey Warden kills it, the archdemon's soul tries to go into their body, but since Warden's have souls, the clash of the two kills both of them. Morrigan's ritual circumvents this; it creates a body that has a similar tie to the archdemon that both darkspawn and Wardens have, but no real taint to corrupt the soul, and no soul currently in the body to clash with the archdemon's.Focaccia wrote...

This means that when the Warden does the ritual and then kills the archdemon Urthemial, instead of his soul entering the Warden and killing them both, it went into the newly-concieved child where, in theory, Urthemial will be born as an untainted Old-God-in-human-form, rather than being killed, or continuing as an archdemon.

The child is the 5th old god, which I guess didn't truly die because its spirit was transferred to the child and the taint was removed. If the child were to become another archdemon, there would still be the other 2 old gods waiting in the Deep Roads to be tainted. The 5th Old God was never actually killed, its spirit just changed bodies.
It is killed (perminitely) if you didn't do the ritual n that right there blows the theory of why the child can't be an archdemon... Not everyone does the ritual... Now if you were forced to do the ritual I'd say maybe but you're given the choice to... Whatever becomes of this child later we may or may not know, thats for bioware to play with...
