Just wanted to say thanks for such a great autosave feature.  Not once after a wipe did i go, oh freakin crap i've gotta redo the last hour and a half.

then again, that might have been because random encounters like in dragon age, with mobs that are way stronger than you (lillianna's quest when the group get's ambushed)  don't happen in this game.

anyways, just wanted to say THANK YOU.  Yes I'm an RPG player and i should know how to save, but i like being spoiled, and you did it bioware.

I agree, too often in the first game did i die and then go 'you're freaking kidding me...' when i loaded back up my last autosave (Feros can eat !@#& and die for that BTW)

Thank you bioware.

I agree as well--with all the combat it's sometimes hard to find a spot where you can save. It's great that they have some autosave moments so you don't have to wait for a break in the action. Saves a ton of headaches.

Ditto... getting used to the new keymappings meant I totally flubbed the battle to save Archangel and died... I thought "DAMN!" but then realised it had autosaved only 2 minutes earlier... the save animation is tiny compared to ME1 so I keep missing it.

The best part about the autosave feature in ME2 is that it doesn't stop you from moving on like the ME1 autosave feature did. You can just keep on moving and it still works.

The better thing, that the save is actually smooth now. The first game paused for a half sec at every quicksave, this time it doesn't. A small comfort, but we all know the devil lies in the details.

Yup, agreed. Perfect use of auto-save and also, the real big bonus; the saving doesn't pause or influence the play in any way.

The autosaves were awesome. I never had to replay more then 2-3 minutes.

Indeed.

I was so glad they finally figured it out. The best autosave in anygame I've ever played.
