*Didn't check to see if there were other threads on this yet.  So I apologize if I'm just repeating other user's.*

I rarely discuss my gender in gamer conversations, but this.. is... painful.

First and foremost - I l.o.v.e. this game.  The level up system is nice and smooth.  The shooting / special abilities interface system is seamless.  It's an amazing gaming experience.

Originally I never felt Shepard would be interested in romance considering her/his missions, but after speaking with Garrus... just couldn't help myself.  That being said, I really enjoy how Bioware has handled the scenes and dialogue in this game.  They're few, short, and very very sweet.

Just one problem.  Bioware... you have zero love for us ladies!!!

I played through, and beat the game in 22hrs.  I originally thought I'd go for Thane, but Garrus easily won my heart.  I was so excited to see Garrus get something great for himself; Shepard.  Then I saw the love scene... it was so sweet and I enjoyed it.. but we bumped heads............

*coughs*

BUMPED HEADS?!?!?!

I get he's an alien.. but really?  Tali could've died and she takes her mask off for male shepard, Miranda shows her breasts, and Jack gets some bed action.  Yet you gave Garrus a damn head bump?!  COME ON!!!

The poor guy gets betrayed, his face nearly blown off, and what do I give him?  ...a head bump.

So, I think to myself; "Ok this must be the super sweet love scene."  I go and check out Thane's love scene.  There's some crying and kissing... the end.  Jacob was all about the abs, but 1 out of 3?

Bioware, us lady gamers may be few, but we're still here.  I understand taking off Garrus's outfit wouldn't have worked, but at least you could've had him pick up Shepard and take her to the bed all sweet like.

/sigh  I still adore Garrus, he's my favorite character by far.  I just hope there's a better love scene with him in ME3, and better female / alien love scenes in general... : /

You wanted more action with a lizard with teeth? Have you seen garrus' face??

Hes actually trying to look down femshep's shirt.

EDIT:  I'm sorry, that was a typical male response to your valid point.  Alien love scenes are hard to do, I mean with liara in the last game, it was easy, she just looks like a chick, but thane and garrus, they're aliens with non-human phisiology, i dunno if seeing them half-naked would be attractive for girl gamers.

Yes I've seen his face and the poor guy deserves some damn action!  Like I said, they didn't have to swap spit, but at least do something more than a silly head bump.

Ex: Him carrying her to the bed and crawling in next beside her, sweet cuddling, hugging... fond petting.. gah anything but a head bump!

Like I said in my original post: I understand them not getting half naked, but something more than a kiss and head bump wouldn't have been hard to pull off.  A sweet romantic set up dinner (and funny dialogue about choice of food), a cute bite to the neck (again, funny dialogue following).  The serious stuff could've been wedged in there as well.. but ugh, so disappointing compared to what the guys get : /

Kelly isn't a love interest. She's a fling.

Heh, if you say so, though, I bet if you were allowed to....well....ingest....you might be too sick to save the world again in ME3

I agree that girls dont get as much, but i mean, guys dont get dinners or romance either, and it is hard to lock lips when your romance interest doesnt have any.

I'm still a little confused why Garrus is not healing from the wounds or why his armor is still damaged even after i finished his loyalty quest and got him a new suit . . . I am 24 hrs in the game and nowhere near beating it.

i'm taking my time and slowly but i have done the stuff for Garrus and he seriously needs to be healed like how Shepard's scars eventually go away lol

I thought the exact same thing about his armor.. and that patch on his face.  Goodness knows I've been out in space for a good amount of time, enough time for his face not to need that patch, and him to have new armor. : /

yeah i figured his wounds would heal eventually but i guess they don't? I don't wanna rush  through my first time though considering this game is too epic to beat real fast lol. i think i will be done after like 40 hrs  . . . maybe and in that aount of time i thought they would eventually replace his face with the healed one but w/e

Thane romance > All other ME2 romances, and I say that as a completely straight male. None of the other ones really made me care about the relationship as well as that one did, and it didn't really have much "bed action" to speak of either.

With the whole Garrus face thing. It could have something to do with what Jacob was saying about his injuries before Garrus showed up in the Coms room and interrupted.

As a female gamer I feel they wimped out with Garrus too.  I don't expect p0rn but a little equality with what is shown in the love scenes would be nice.  It's just a little silly that after making such a leap forward with a romance with an alien that is physiologically so different that they then sweep the love scene under the carpet.  The Tali romance had more so I can't quite understand the logic.

While I'm sure you know this, it is in fact important to point out that turian food would likely be indigestable, toxic, or even completely fatal to any human, or for that matter any non-turian/quarian. This is because the chirality of Turian and Quarian amino acids are reversed, being right-handed (dextro-amino acids) rather than the more common left-handed (sinis-amino acids, I believe, but I may be wrong, deriving sinis from the latin word for 'left'. See sinister, which means left-handed) amino acids. On the other hand, if we're going to completely ignore canon and say romance makes people better than a romance with Tali fits right in: the human body is so caked in bacteria a hand touching a quarian's skin could cause severe allergic reactions: quarian immune systems suck. In many cases, this would lead to death.

Thanks so much, I agree 100%!  Like I've been saying, they didn't have to go all out strip naked... a few sweet gestures would've been great.. *sighs* I still <3 Garrus... he's the absolute best and funniest..

"You know me, I always like to savor my last shot before I blow my heat clip.   ...That came wrong..."

Best... line.. ever...

True, true. But Garrus isn't stupid. Nor is he homocidal.
