The drell are so humanoid next to the asari that I was really shocked that there wasn't more in the final scene; at least with Garrus I could reason that since he looks so different from humans the devs would not feel comfortable showing that moment (and it felt a little fair since Tali's scene was cut short as well). But seriously....why did Thane's have to just go black? Subject Zero and Miranda got these full blowing sweet/sexy moments and yet ours are cut short? (even Jacob's in comparison to the other two seems less passionate). Don't get me wrong, he's my favorite LI, but it is odd. Then again, I am not playing this game for the romances but it would have been nicer if they were treated more equally towards the end. I don't think Garrus's moment needed too much else other than an after-the-moment scene just to reassure the player that he actually enjoyed being with shepard and may even hint to a deeper relationship other than just a fling (which romance kinda implies).

I wanted her to kiss him, even on the cheek would be nice. Or heck, a really sweet, meaningful embrace would have worked. Something just a little more intimate, more telling of a romantic relationship than knocking their noggins together.
I actually misinterpreted the endgame video the first time I saw it and wondered if that was their way of saying it wasn't going to work out. It certainly didn't seem like an action that was leading to anything.

*warning, caps lock soon to blast your screen*
HE DOESN'T HAVE TO TAKE OFF HIS CLOTHES!!
He could've picked her up all sexy like and carried her to the bed, brushed his fingers through her hair, nuzzled his sexy scar cheek to her's, etc etc.
This isn't a thane post, but I wondered why they went so soft on the scene as well. They gave him pecs.. sad to see Bioware didn't go through with the alien love scenes but went all crazy with MIranda getting tossed against the wall, propped up on the desk... lame.

I kind of agree and disagree. While I like that it wasn't overtly sexual (I'm not exactly interested in Garrus for his body) -- especially because the early dialogue options seemed to indicate a booty call, which would have severely disappointed me -- I wanted something more romantic than the head-bump. Especially with how weird FemShep was just sort of staring out into the distance and totally ruining the moment. They should have had her looking at him, yeesh. Or putting her hands on him. The weird mutual dip seemed odd and stiff.

I thought this as well, but physically I disagree with it not working out. He mentioned a human fetish, and during Samara's loyality mission another taurian (sp?) was trying to get with an Asari. The Taurian in this scene turns to you says he doesn't care rather it's a human or asari.. so it can't be impossible.

Honestly, I don't really care about the "bed scenes" at all. I'd take more conversations and relationship building over that any day for all of the romances.
Lol, you're not getting the point of this thread. This isn't "I want p0rn!" this is, gender inequality. The comparison of male love scenes to female love scenes are so drastically different, you'd have to be blind and deaf not to observe how absurdly imbalanced it is.

Physiology and eye-candy (or lack thereof) aside, I thought Garrus' romance scenes fit his personality and "new relationship" with Shepherd very cannonically. I thought most of the others' did too, though the end result might have appeared unfair to some. Personally, I'd rather see all the squadmates acting appropriately in-character than be rewarded with an OOC fanfiction-y scene that compromised the character's personality.
I don't see how him stroking her cheek, or romantically carrying her to bed is fanfiction-y. Personally that seems very much like Garrus to me. He's such a noble character; how is that fanfictiony?

Except I'm not seeing the real inequality. I found the quality of the Thane romance as a whole to be miles above any of the ones the MaleSheps got. Just because they got more into it on the bed doesn't mean they were automatically better. I think the MaleSheps got a bit jipped by having such a focus on the bed action for two out of three of their final scenes. I don't wanna watch two video game characters make out for a full minute, I'd rather have a kiss with a fade to black and then some more character development.

Well I respect your opinion but I completely disagree with you. The dialogue is important, but I feel the maleshep got that just as much as the femshep. I personally had no interest in Thane (He's creepy...), so I can't relate to your sentiment. Either way, if you liked the character development with femshep, good on you. I thought the developments weren't equal, and the reward of those relationships weren't balanced.

If I want to see romance I do it IRL or watch some porn.
Seriously.

It's an entirely subjective opinion, but neither strikes me as something Garrus would do, at least at this point in time. "Noble" does not directly translate into a warm, cuddley, romance-novel-cover-model lover.

And don't forget to mention that it was more sophisticated, sensible this way.
On top of that -and I agree, it was a bit laughable with Tali too- different species have different biology. Different bodies. Well, it was explained for the asari, but it became a joke with all the species.
And just think of it. Garrus would probably bite half of your face off.
I know some players demanded talimance and garrusmance and such, but it really does no good for the 'aliens are different life forms' thing, that's a very basic principle of science fiction.
An actualy sex scene would degrade it to a joke more than it is already.

What happens in the scenes fits the characters that they involve. Notice how Jack pretty much rapes you if you decide to bone her in the basement.
Anyway, isn't it enough that you -know- your Shepard had sex with them? Why is it necessary to see the pelvic thrusts or whatever it is they do?

Just to get a better idea.....so that is all the garrus love scene is? A head bump? That seems weird. All in all at least you're a romantic OP, you get credit for that! Most guys/girls seem to just want action!
In the end its still just a game, everything cant be perfect.

Not to be rude.. but seriously people please read the posts before you post.
Nearly every response I've given has been, "They don't have to get naked, they don't have to go all out porn."
Listen, I see Garrus's teeth, I understand he's not humanoid, and for the last time no I don't want damn porn.
I'm saying it wasn't fair for male shep to nearly kill tali with germs and all we get is a head bump. I don't want to see a '******.' I wanted to see the fruits of a relationship between Garrus and FemShep. The result was a headbump, which was just disappointing.
People, if you're going post.. read before you do it, please.

She is not about "i want pr0n", it's about equality.
She feels that FemSheps get less content than the MaleSheps.
That is all.
