I swear insanity will drive you to insanity lol. During the course of this game I have broke both of my 360 controllers and lost several batterys from throwing them against the wall lol. And its all because on Insanity, you will die more than 100 times during the gameplay. Sometimes you will have to reload over 20 times just for 1 level.

I am on the Tali sidequest and OMFG ITS CRAZY! The geth literally RUSH you. They won't even stop. And for me being and infiltrator, it doesn't work as good. I have Grunt, and Tali on my team and they are too stupid to not do anything. They pop out, die. Leaving me open for the geth to rush and kill me within 3 seconds.

Here is a list as to why this game sucks on insanity:

You need a LOT more bullets than usual. And sometimes the game will autosave when you have no bullets lol. You rely on finding the bullets. Now I know what you're thinking... "make every shot count"... Well on insanity, you do. And I do that every step of the way but jeez. Assault Rifles, and Machine Pistols are the weakest guns on my character for some odd reason. My heavy pistol, and sniper are my strongest. And since they have REALLY low bullet count, it makes it hard to even get by lol.

AI completely sucks! I swear your team has stupid AI. Because the geth have more intelligence than grunt and tali lol. Sometimes when you tell them to attack 1 target, they completely ignore your orders and attack someone else. Which makes it very difficult to kill someone as fast.

Geth are just OP on insanity. They are becoming very annoying and pissing me off :P

Husk are just as annoying because all they do is rush you and swing their arms at you like a monkey. At least they are weaker than geth and you can run away from them without being shot lol.

Not nearly enough health to keep you alive to even stand a chance. Most of the levels I got through took me over 10 times each and that was all by sheer luck.

Your team will never be strong. No matter how much you want them to be, they never will be on insanity. They die more than ever and there is nothing you can do about it. Even with weapon and armor upgrades they still suck balls.

I can't even think anymore lol. There is just a LOT that suck about insanity. I suggest playing the game on normal or below your FIRST play through. because on insanity, your views on the game really change. Mine are basically saying "break this game it sucks so much!!!" but i know that its just insanity lol.

ITS ALL INSANITY! :o

That's probably why they call it 'insanity'

No one said it was fair or even fun.

Yeah, Geth are the most challenging to take down. They're robots, so they don't care about getting shot. I chuckle when I see them take cover from time to time, but for me they always just walk up to me and shoot me in the face : /

QQ more. no one made you play on a difficulty that you[re not good enough of a gamer to accomplish.

my first suggestion. Take the appropriate group. against a hundred geth, i would most definetly take 2 allies that have overload.

I've beaten the game on Insanity as a Soldier and had absolutely no problems with that. I had so much health that I would die only if I did something completly stupid.

Seriously Supremacy321, chill out.  These forums are about sharing our experiences.  No one made you come on this thread and read his opinion.

Nobody is QQing here. I'm basically warning people about how hard insanity really is for those who think they're up for the challenge. I don't give up until I win. I'm just saying how difficult it was for me when I was an Infiltrator.

And yes, soldiers have it easier on Insanity which is why I wouldn't suggest using anything but a Soldier, or something more powerful that I am not aware of?

Also, I was thinking bout that overload thing during tali's sidequest lol. I remember saying to myself "why the hell didn't I bring miranda instead of grunt? Since tali is forced to be on the team, My only choice would have been Miranda. Is there another team member that has overload that I am forgetting here?

Insanity was nice but the AI ruined for me, the only frustrating thing I experienced in this game was that you teammates would stand on TOP of cover or not take cover at all or just standing the shooting without any regard for their own lives.

You know with one simple click you can send them to different locations right?

I feel you dude. I was doing Tali's recruitment mission on HARDCORE and I was having enough problems, had to do the Collosus thing like 10 times. When you get the first det charge a Geth Prime basically walks into the room with a Revenant MG and mows down your squadmates, did that like 6 times.

I usually send them away. Seriously, when playing normally I send them over somewhere where they can't fire on the groups of enemies I Pull into the air so I can hit them with Unstable Warp. Biotic combos involving Pull really lose their appeal if your squad mates gun down your floating enemies before you can attack them with more biotics. I specifically set out to make a super adept for the purpose of owning everyone with biotics. When possible I keep Jacob with me for Squad Incendiary Ammo, and Garrus for Overload.  That is pretty much the only capacity they serve, to cover my weaknesses, and as a distraction now and then.

Oh, and a hint for those who are like me and use squadmates with squad ammo powers to make up for not having any, only have one squadmate with a squad ammo power in your squad at a time, I had Jacob and Zaeed on my team at the same time and each seems to prefer their own ammo power. I literally waited behind some cover for like 2  minutes and just watched the holographic overlay on my gun change color. It's very annoying when your for trying to take down an armored target with incediary and suddenly you are shooting disruptor rounds.

I had some problems with the geth on insanity as well. The main problem was that those hunters would just walk straight up to me and put a shotgun to my head. They should absolutely be taken out first. The smaller geth usually keep their distance and can easily be dealt with afterwards.

Like others have said, overload is a must, as is disrupter ammo. If you have unlocked Tali's energy drain already on a previous play-though, use it as your bonus talent. It's basically the same as overload but without the 3 second stun and it restores your shields. Use the tempest SMG for the hunters as it is more effective than your pistol and doesn't run out of ammo as quickly.

Lastly, consider falling back when they close in. You can use your cloak to help with this. I remember one area where you could backtrack quite a bit. The geth will follow and you can then easily take them out one by one. Best of luck.

team AI is just horrible overall on Insanity.

TIP/SPOILER:
When doing tali's sidequest of treason and you come to the part where its a small room and stairs down and those damn geth keep rushing the stairs, just rush down and go through the door. It's an instant win cus once the door is open it goes to the cutscene of Tali's father.
