Hey folks!

I've encountered a problem while building levels. I've defined the area, defined the sunlight, placed an ambient and several point baked lights. Then I've rendered the lightmaps and after that was done I've hit "Display lightmaps". Here is the effect:

Can anyone explain why this happened and what to do about it? :)

Lightmapper in known to be very buggy. Having multible lights in an exterior level is usually causing troubles. First of all there is no need to use any more lights than a sun light and an ambient light. Of course, a use of more light would produce a better looking level, in a skilled hands, but it ain't the first thing to worry about.

Always keep the ambient light intensity in 1 and for that level check that ambient light color is atleast (0.3, 0.3, 0.3),

Sometimes you may need to hit "Post All Local" button in order to make lightmaps appear properly.

PS. You can use a lot bigger area to build a level, the edges seems to be pretty close.

Try switching to the Single Player module and displaying the map from there. I've noticed some weird lightmap behaviour displaying lightmaps in my own module in interior levels. You shouldn't need to re-render it, just switch module and take a look.

If all else fails try deleting some of those lights and stick with only sunlight and ambient light.

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks!
