Hey, I JUST got my copy of ME2 collectors edition but it's in polish! EA Poland's statement is that we could change language to english! NOT true, we have the files but no option to do so, I can swith language in sku file but I need 1 missing english file for it! Vocals are there, but txt not!

SO PLEASE! Someone just upload file BIOGame_INT.tlk (inside Mass Effect 2\\\\\\\\Bioware\\\\\\\\cookedPC)
I need it very fast, it is only 1.8 mbs (at least BIOGame_POL.tlk is) This file is international text file, meaning ENGLISH.

I will damn kiss you for it! EA screwed up, and I really want to get that SUPERIOR quality, and not this quick-made crap they put instead perfect english voices/text.

[EDIT]
RESOLVED
should be sticky...

I don't have a file by that name I am afraid. If I did I would.

It should be in the place you're game is installed in, not documents and settings folder... I think every game must have a localization file like that to work at all?

My polish file is in: F: - Gry - Mass Effect 2 - Bioware - CoockedPC -> BioGame_POL.tlk
But instead of POL I need english INT version :( Perchaps there is sole ENG version but I only know about INTernational one.

Had the same screw-up in Hungary, managed to replace it. Thank god the workarounds worked, I couldn't read a codex entry about the "Hiding Fella" (mirrored it back to English) :D

One workaround is to get the English game by a not-so-official source, install it and play with your original serial and disc. I did the same, it worked fine.
Otherwise, if you find what files do you need for English texts, send me a PM with the list and an e-mail adress so I can send them to you.

I FINALLY FOUND THE FILE: http://www.frogup.co...ie_napisy/20719

I considered this CLOSED, a remedy for every hungarian, czech o polish version of the game!

Now just place this file where it should be, under /data folder open SKU file and change both values to INT!

Eh..so you're version does not include the option to change the installation language via the little flags in the Install Wizard?

It's how the english installation works for all the localized versions i know of. Just editing the sku-file did nothing for us either

You can't choose language during installation in the czech-hungarian-polish version of the game. It contains those 3 languages, and only those alone. And editing sku file works as long as you have the file mentioned above in the right folder.

Hah I know what you mean :) I've been messing with those bioware games for some times (when it comes to language) and always was successful :) Native support would be much better though. And I too think that polish cast is quite good, but english is... well better :) And subtitles in polish are a bit different than actuall sounds and I hate to read something and hear something else at the same time! Anyway I am just glad I could help so many people (and myself)

Thank you again and let's hope that in case of ME 3 we will NOT NEED to do similar search for another INT bio file to "rewrite" another localized version.

And i personally prefer to have both original subs and language because this will help me to better learn speaking and writing in english.

I know what you mean, I learned basics of my english playing Fallout 2 when It came out :) And when it comes to localization I am pretty sure that'll be same situation with ME3 :( Happened with Dragon Age too.

Actually you can, just start the installation from the setup.exe and not from the autorun and you should be fine. However, there is no eng sub on the polish verzion which is kinda disapointing me, especially coz I bought the ce.

So EA pls put that damn english sub in your games next time.

If you guys want this stickied you should make a more structured and helpful first post including everything you need to do to make this work. Then you should post that topic in the relevant forum:
