Yeah, same here.

You guys don't pay attention to her voice, she didn't seem too excited about the idea. Plus, what if she was exiled? I greatly doubt she will be with the flotilla in mass effect 3 ,maybe at the end if you don't romance her, but if u do she can easly pick mr. Rambo. Quarian

I listen to her voice all the time. It is one of the things I love about her. While she doesn't sound excited, she is fiercely loyal to her people and the fleet. The way I understand her character she'll perform her duty when called upon. Also, if she was exiled that wouldn't change the fact that the Quarians can have strong differences of opinion and her exiled status can easily be revoked.

While, personally, I would love to see Tali leading the fleet, at the same time I want nothing more than her to be recruitable in ME3 (and, of course, further develop the romance).

Well she is Tali'Zorah Vas Normandy now, and I don't think there is any reason she would leave the ship. She'll probably play a role in helping you rally the migrant fleet.

That would be pretty badass if near the end of ME3 you're directing the huge space fight from the Normandy

Heh, I hope we get to actually pilot the normandy now in a real time combat battle. that would be incredibly badass.
Tali better damn stay healthy and well on my ship. And please my Shep every now and then. hehe. A few day fever isn't too bad is it? Besides she said it's worth it.

And besides, Garrus didn't survive my mission. It's completely my fault, I think, I should have sent him with the other team but... what's done is done. She's the only one I got left from the first game.

Yeah, I'm sure she won't mind the fevers, chills, and general miserableness of being really sick for a couple of days just to please you once a week - I bet it'll make her really productive at work, too. Everyone shoots better when they are running a fever, I'm sure the military is working on a way to perma-sick our soldiers right now. >,>

Fanon is a funny thing. Some people seem convinced that Quarians get sick from human diseases in spite of the series. To reiterate: the series says quite explicitly they get allergic reactions. The whole thing with the disease on Omega was so big because only a bioengineered super-disease could affect both Turians/Quarians and Asari/Salarians/etc, due to differing systems.

I found the end of Tali's quest hilariously cute. 'I have a fever, my throat is sore, and more gunk than you want to know about is stuffing up my nose, and it was SO worth it...' or such. Tali rules.

Also, Enya?  You're being passive aggressive.  Please stop, it hurts debate.

I imagine her immune system will eventually adjust to her...exertions.  Hell, that may be the reason she can take off her mask in ME 3.  Romance her enough and she gains a strong immune system!!!

Um - I think you are splitting hairs on the term "sick."

I can tell you having allergies *is* being sick. Whether the cause is a virus, a bacteria, or my own darn body - the results are the same, just the treatment is different.

Sarcasm isn't being passive-aggressive, being sarcastic while claiming nothing is wrong and everything is hunky-dory while inside you are angry is.

Edited to add -> I've made it pretty clear what my thoughts are, I'm not concealing them in any fashion.

Hey, I'm not hostile. ;) I just hate people taking fanon as canon and getting snippy. Kind of like all the people insisting Joker couldn't walk, when he /talked/ about how he got up to go to the bathroom and so on. He just had to be careful he didn't snap a limb and moved slowly.

I'm sure tali will be a squad member in me3. Nad might be be a part of a quest to prepare the quarians for the reaper war

She died on the Prothean base in my playthrough....How can I prevent her from getting shot in the face?

I doubt that is the case I mean hell 1 quarian had a suit breach from a ****ing bullet shot with out any of the pre steps Tali took it be pretty ****ed up that Mr. Rambo took a suit breach bullet shot and was just fine after it and tali who took step to help prevent it and even talking to one of the galaxies best doctors to make sure it safe only to falls over and die.

That like having the illusive man survive a Hail of bullet fire and Shepard fall over dead from chocking on a mars bar.

I understand the fandom  of Tali has made allot people hate her but jeez people just kill her in the suicide mission and get over it.

I agree, just make sure u talk to mordin before u do "love" with tali haha

it would be ridiculous if she dies in ME 3 just for that when this other quarian guy got infected and he lived.

I will add a few things to this discussion:

First you can visit Mordin Solus prior to the deed and he encourages it and passes along some material for Shepard to brush up on. He only warns against oral which can mean anything from opened mouth kissing to other things which probably implies that toxic DNA is more harmful if ingested than simply contact.

I too am hoping and praying that Tali is a squad member in ME3. It would be strange that after collecting the most elite squad in the universe that they would disband prior to the Reaper threat. Shepard would be like "I now have to recruit an even more elite squad than the most elite squad for yet another suicide mission" seems nonsensical unless your squads goes onto to other things (like the ME1 squad) which would also be nonsensical since the Reaper threat is not something you can bury your head in the sand against unless of course you are The Council.

Finally, I have a feeling quarians in general will play a large role in ME3. Look at the VA list, Claudia Black, Simon Templeton, Adam Baldwin, a lot of talent devoted to cameos unless of course they have something big in the works (quarian/geth showdown or alliance anyone?)

I bet the Shadow Broker will play a nice roll on ME3.  and Bioware knows if they take out Tali they will get bombed, seeing that they realized all the Tali fans from ME1 and thus she got a big role in ME2.

There's an advertisement on Illium that says new research has been able to strengthen Quarians(and Volus) immune systems so that they can lead normal lives. 40% success rate as well. Most likely it is obscenely expensive, but you now have a group of badass's spoiling for a fight and nothing rummages up a few creds better than an old fashioned ass whoopin on some dude with far too many creds. Might be he needs to part with some of those so that I can get on to more important business.

My thoughts- If you romance someone from the first game, Ex Ashley/Liara, The third game is going to ask you who you were with and if you loved that person. Miranda/Liara/Ashley/Jack/Tali are all going to be choices. Whoever you were with, If it was Ashley in the first game and Tali in the second, You are going to have to choose in a question. Its like, in ME2 where Jacob asks you who you chose to lead the Council (if you let them die). Maybe you chose to have Anderson lead it, But Udina is still a choice.

OR, Ashley/Liara and Tali/Miranda/Jack come and talk to you and ask you to choose, Similar to Ashley and Liara fighting in the first game. I hope this does not happen though, Because I am going to have to import my Insanity file where I dont romance anyone, Because I am going to feel terrible. On one hand, Tali is awesome. On the other hand, Ashley is awesome.

As to, will Tali die because you chose her to be youre Romantic Interest in ME2, I doubt it. Its like other people said, If she thought she would die, She would tell Shepard. The only way I see this being possible is if she is already dying, similar to Thane with Kepral's Syndrome and just wants to go out on the best terms possible. (You have to admit though, for any girl really, screwing the most important Human in the Galaxy would be quite the feat. :D)

Indeed, it's entirely moral and correct to intimidate the wealthy so that you can have sex with Tali safely.

Are you sure about volus? Their immune systems are fine; the reason they wear the suits is because their respiratory systems rely on some exotic gas, not oxygen like every other known sapient organic race in the galaxy. They are also pressure suits since the volus homeworld's atmosphere is much higher pressure, such that if they were exposed to a low pressure environment their flesh would burst open.

i just heard the conversation between the Turian and the Quarian, they weren't talking anything about killing her, more like being Irresponsible. finding someone who will take care of you and love you for who you are "AKA: Commander Shepard

her voice is gonna make me kill my self.

and the TUrian was just making it sound as bad as he could cuz he wants her XD

Oldman, true, but thinking about it. What affect would it have on the child if she was to have one?

You put a biologically unsafe instrument inside a fragile alien speicies and caused friction and then expelled a possibly toxic cocktail inside of her body - and then she has to run around and fight for her life so she's not exactly running to the doc to get an uber-detailed cleaning after the fact.

Sex causes complications, and unfortunately for Tali death replaces pregnancy.

Giggitty

Remember, guys. If you're a female Shepard and start getting into a romance with Garrus, then talk to Mordin Solus, Mordin will tell you that Turians have something in their junk that can cause anaphalytic shock (which has a good probability of being fatal) when ingested by humans.

This is the point SarEnyaDor was trying to make in regards to Tali and Quarian sex.

Mordin said nothing negative about Tali and Shepard's relationship, he even gives you a book about safe positions and stuff (as a joke i guess) but he doesnt say anything except using meds to boost immune systems and stuff.

I just love that Bioware actually created all those little details even down to reproduction acts with various aliens xD So fun. Mordin's sex talk is just HYSTERICALLY good too.
