I can't find the folder with these.  I have the location for the ME1 game, but don't see anything with saved games in it.  Any assistance with that would be awesome.

They can be found in your windows documents folder.
on Win7 (x64): C:\\\\Users\\\\yourusername\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Mass Effect\\\\Save
'yourusername' is your windows login name

If you see multiple \\\\ (backslash) characters above, it seems the forum software adds them !!! There should only be one between the words.

I don't know it specifically, but you can search for Charname00_AutoSave.MassEffectSave and you should be able to find the directory that way.

Doesn't matter.  Your save file will be in My Documents (Vista & 7: your usernamed folder> Documents)> Bioware>Mass Effect>Save

I have the mass effect 1&2 for PC on steam. I have searched on the internet ALOT to find my folder to save game and everybody says its in the bioware folder, but problem is my steam version dont have such a thing, all i ahev inside the Mass effect Folder is "Binaries, Biogame, Data, docs, engine, directx and than a bunch of launchers. I have looked in all those folders and cant find any sign of map called save games or Bioware please help

Have you looked in your "My Documents" folder in XP or "Username folder">My Documents??

The one you are probably in is the game install folder, but there is another one in your documents section that has saves and misc data.
