I have just completed recruting all squad members except Legion, and I have done everyone's Loyalty quest.  Additionally, I have upgraded everything on the Normandy except for the skin-machine thing.

When I get back from work today I am going to start the IFF mission.  So I have a couple questions:

Firstly, approxamately how many hours do I have left?  Second, I want to keep everyone alive, and I do not know what happens, but I have heard that you can assign squad-mates to do certain things.  Whether or not you make a good choice may determine who lives or dies.  So, with as little "atfer IFF" spoilers as possible, who should I pick for what to ensure everyone lives?  And third, is there anything else I can do to increase my chances of survival beyond what I have already done?

1. Depends, about 5-6 for me, but it's a subject of change depending on the player.

2. I assume you did talk to people in your squad. So you know everything for the tactical assignments.
For example: Thane is a loner, last time Tali got his team killed, while Garrus lead a small team with success which could only be defeated by treason. So, who will lead your fire team?

These kind of choices wait for you. Just pay attention to the characters themselves when you choose them. I didn't loose anyone this way.

3. Other upgrades. Omni-tool for Mordin, Biotic implants for Jack, but if these are done already, well... go and slay 'em all!
