As the title said.
I have just visited the Citadel and had Shep reinstated as a Specter.
Got all the rights and clearences.

Does it have any effect? Does this open any new N7 missions? Do you acquire Specter related gears (like in ME1)?
Or it doesn't have any effect at all?

After that Shep is again Mr/Ms Space-Bond :police: with licensce to do anything (eg Save the Galaxy... again), but I don't see anything happening.

They only do it as a show of good faith. Since you're working with Cerb, they don't officially support you. That's also why they ask you to stick to the terminus systems...

It does provide an out during Thane's mission, if you fail at interrogation.

Also at the C-Sex/Volus/Quarian discussion.

The C-Sec tries to arrest you and Shep says "Try it, Im a Spectre"

Of course, he just says, "I'm a former Spectre" and it has the same effect.

I also noticed on one loyalty quest where your 'victim' is trying to talk their way out of things a renegade choice is to say 'You are a Spectre'. Unfortunately I was not Renegade enough to actually have that as a choice I could pick. I wish I could because the victim thought they were untouchable - would have been nice to see their face when they realised I could shoot them and nothing would happen!!!  But other than that it really does not seem to have to much of an effect since you are pretty much on your own as in ME1.

Beating the crap out of him is much more fun than letting him realize you're a specter.

I'm sure it will have a major impact in ME3, plus it's a reason for people to bash their heads on the wall for not playing Mass Effect 1 and importing a character.

Cheers!

Doesn't look like it does much of anything, which is a shame I thought I was going to get some under the table missions or money.

I just hope that when the Reapers invade and the Council calls you up to beg for help, there is an actual option on the conversation wheel that reads "Ah yes, Reapers".

We should be able to ask them "Do you have any proof of their existence?"

You can become a Specter even if the council was killed, you just had to have chosen Anderson for the seat.

Not in ME2 it doesn't. Might want to get the Spectre title back just in case for ME3.

You can also use it to get the two Asari cleared to use the spaceport without giving them the Forged IDs or using Charm and Intimidate on the custom agent. (Easy Paragon Path)

Strangely, that dance is vast improvement over Shepard's normal dancing.

To rub it in, he should do it in French and German. Followed by the splits.

Please inform me where to complete that mission. My first play through has that prompt on the "assignments" and I cant seem to find where to finish it.

Gold.
If they won't bring back the dialogues which abuse the council I'll be very very sad...
