The info says I have to recover crates yet I scan the planet and can't find a mission... just elements.

What am I missing here?

you'll see a little white compas line on your scope when you scan the planet. move the scope towards the line till the transmission gets clear and you see a white dot, then launch your probe. that'll let you land and do the mission.

Actually I went back there and went..

"DOH!"

The Land button is there... I didn't even have to scan... I was scanning the whole damned planet and it was showing BEFORE the darned scan screen hehe.

Oh well... You live and learn.
