Hi!
Some time ago, I decided to delete my original mage "Zenon" including saved games, because I screwed them up with some mods (precisely the dex-hotfix). Then I made a new mage character with the same name.
I deleted the original Zenon in my social.bioware.com profile, but even now the new one shows up, my player profile diagnostics page, which I clicked out of curiosity, reports an error:
1005 - Extra unexpected files uploaded for this character.
In fact there are 8 files with Zenon as opposed to 4 files for all other characters. I'd like to have this fixed. Can I do this by myself, and if so how?
Thanks for your help.

Odd, I too got that same error code last night. And, after the game eventually uploaded updated profile information, the site now created some bizarre hybrid in-between page when trying to view my profile. It separated out a single character (out of 4 total I currently have) as a new entirely different "persona". Something's amiss.

I thought this is a help forum. I'm curious why there is no qualified answer. Even if there seems no bad effect of this error at this point, I'd like to know if it could corrupt my on-line profile sooner or later. I'd have expected the files of a certain character being completely deleted from the server, when I delete the character on-line profile. Alternatively I'd have expected the still existing files to be overwritten instead of duplicate files being created.
Would be nice, if a web-admin would look into this issue and give me (us) some feedback on this error, since the help text about it doesn't help.

Have you read the stickies at the top of the forum? Profile Diagnostics and Deleting Unwanted Characters.
Bioware employees have responded in the Profile Diagnostics thread, and that's about all the information we have at this point, but to sum it up. The extra files aren't supposed to be a concern until you run out of profile space. Deleting characters doesn't always remove all the files associated with them and you may have to try again.
