This still hasn't been fixed, BioWare. There's a big new DLC being worked on, so let's not forget that means you have another good opportunity to implement a fix.
Lets here it for necro-threading. Yay!
Mass Effect 2 PC Technical Support (Spoilers Warning)
This forum is for fans and owners of Mass Effect 2 on the PC to assist each other with technical questions. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts, but fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here.
Try making the comlpaint in a place where it will be heard by those actually able to do something about it.

Well, if you think it's a better route to post on the EA general forums, let's see how far you get doing that.

Has anyone found a fix to these yet? I've done the searches but most of them don't turn up anything either recent or useful. So any word on a patch, a work around (including anything with Gibbids, which I believe works for Conrad but not sure how to fix the others with it if that can be done) or word on if any of these will effect ME3 (I know unlikely but hey figured I'd ask).
Thanks in advance for any useful feedback
ps ~ Bog if you're still reading this one, what forums are you referencing with regards to EA? Most of the links lead to sub forums like this one. Just to be clear I'm not saying such a forum doesn't exist, rather I'm asking if you could be so kind as to post a link to the forums you mean if you happen to read this

It seems that EA has pulled their own forums, and only the EA General Discussion forum remains. I shouldnt be surprised really, given how much support they actually give to any of the products that have their label on them.

Some things are bugged during the ME1 save process and can be fixed with Gibbed's, other things relate to cut content which arent available in the game, and can only be found with audio extraction, or lots of trawling through the various files. Which events are different to what happened in your saves? Might be able to clarify what category they fall under, and if anything can be done about it.

The two I'm dealing with in my current game are:
Sirta Foundation
Sha'ira
Thanks for the update on the EA forums, I was crossing my fingers that I'd just missed them somehow but I wasn't holding my breath
Thank you again for the response.

Didymos1120 has done some good work finding lost text and unused audio from the game, and has links to it in his sig. Here's a link to one of his posts, so you can go through the various links to find some hidden goodies. Not sure, but I think both Sha'ira and Sirta are mentioned somewhere in the audio files.

@Shins, yeah there are definitely some bigger bugs out there, but the others I've encountered I've been able to find ways to fix with Gibbeds so while an official fix would be better at least I can see the game unfold without them in the way. I don't know what is going to carry over for ME3 (beyond some of the obvious stuff like deaths etc.) I'm hoping none of the plot bugs/miss flags from ME/ME2 are things that will "break" ME3 but I guess we'll just all have to wait for pre-orders to ship to find that out.
thanks to both of you for taking the time to respond.

I saved the Council, but somehow when I start ME2 the council is dead and Udina is in charge. It's annoying.. =/

Ah! Seems there's a fix fr when it doesn't load..
1.2 Importing
1.2.1 How do I import my Shepard from ME1 PC?
From ME2's patch notes:
This can also be done manually if you wish. As mentioned above, ME1 saves are in Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save\\. Files starting with Shepard's first name are mid-game saves and are of no use to ME2. The files with names filled with numbers and dashes, following the naming pattern Char_01-LL-#-#-#-DD-MM-YYYY-HH-MM.MassEffectSave, are the end-game saves that can be imported to ME2. Copy any or all of them to Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1\\ and they should show up for importation in ME2.1) Run the Mass Effect 2 configuration utility from the main launcher.
2) Click the 'Save Games' button.
3) Click the 'Copy Mass Effect 1 Save Games' button, and select the appropriate location for your ME1 save game.
(The default location is 'My Documents\\bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save'.)
4) This will copy the appropriate save games from your ME1 directory into the proper place in the ME2 directory.
5) Run Mass Effect 2, and from the main menu select 'New Game'.
6) Select 'Import ME1 Character'.
7) Your savegame should now show up in the list.
I have to replay the whole thing from the start I guess, but it's worth not having Udina in charge (I don't like that guy
