Since there have been a million 'fav character' topics... who's you least fav character and why?

In terms of usefulness, I find Samara kinda lame. The only biotic powers I need are ones my vanguard already has, and so Samara serves no purpose. She gets killed a lot too, it seems.

In terms of general, everyone else is pretty cool with the exception of maybe Jacob. He doesn't say a lot and doesn't seem to have the deep, interesting background they gave everyone else. But that being said, he's miles more interesting than Kaiden from ME1.

Fav charcters: garrus, thane, mordin :)

Tali, she won't be my ME3...I made sure of that "BOOM Headshot" She just doesn't seem to have any personality in ME2. In ME she was kind of naive and filled with spirit. Now she's just an empty suit that really doesn't seem to care what's going on unless she's on The Flotilla.

Favs: I felt connected to Zaeed for some reason...and I literally screamed "NO!" when he died in my game. Maybe it's because I took him everywhere for his Inferno Grenade.

And of course everyone loves Mordin! =)

Hm. Samara and (hides in cover) Miranda.

And for missions: Jacob. He was a good guy, a trustworthy man, but that's it. I liked his character, I just didn't carry him out much, as he usually had nothing interesting to comment.

Samara: She was a bit too paragon for me, with no twists and turns (apart from her... sidequests, but I already figured out the relationship between she and Morith (did I spell her name right?) )

Miranda: Ok, I know I know "BEWBS" as it used to be mentioned, but I didn't find her very interesting. She was again a well-written character, I just... I don't know, didn't care much for her.

I almost said Tali too, but at least this time around she had some personality apart from being a talking, walking codex entry. Improvement, but still not a fav.

Favs: Mordin, Jack (her bit more paragon-driven side which we can call forth), Mordin, Garrus, Mordin, Thane, Mordin, Mordin.

I didn't care too much for Samara so I switched her for her daughter. I also didn't like Mordin. I know everyone else does but I don't get it. It wouldn't have bothered me one bit if he would've died. My favorites are Garrus, Thane and SuZe. I love SuZe. She matches my Renegade Shep perfectly. I love taking her and Grunt on missions and just watching the utter chaos that ensues.

I didn't like Miranda much. She was kind of... boring. She felt like a Mass Effect 1-style character, if that makes any sense.  She's probably the only character I dislike.  Well, besides Morinth.. but I love to hate Morinth.  She's an interesting character, I just don't like her on my team.

I was ecstatic that my two favorite characters from Mass Effect 2 were the only ones to make it in Mass Effect 2. I was shocked when Garrus was revealed to be Archangel, and very happy about it! I always thought he'd be a spectre, so I really did not see it coming at all.

As for the Volus poster, I like Tali because she is so shy. She has a soft nature. I love the romance with her, she is the only character that truly feels akward about it. I also loved how she did things with the Geth, on my next playthrough I am going to get Legion before I do Tali's extra mission just to see how the Flotilla reacts. Regarding Legion, I especially liked it when she shared non-classified data with him, and they seemed to be.. friends.

Even though Jacob was a little boring, he had a lot of character. They did a really good job with him without making him go over the top. He's probably one of my least favorites, but that's not saying much, considering the competition... and it's close even at that.

I like Mordin a lot as well, but not as much as some of the others. Who can't like his hyper-speech, though?

Zaeed is a badass. Enough said.

I like unlocking the softer side of Jack (it takes some work). Because of this, she's probably one of my favorite stories in the game.

I like Grunt a lot more than I did Wrex, with his confused and unfocused rage culminating into purpose and resolution.

I liked Samara more than Liara, but.. probably on the lower half of my favorite characters. She had a very interesting personality, a ruthless paragon character. While she claims to be 'black and white', she certainly is more grey than any character in the game. She's such an ironic, interesting character.

I liked Thane. But not all that much, I guess. I mean, he had an interesting personality, but he really didn't seem that cool to me. I liked his character probably a little less than Jacob, but don't get me wrong; Bioware did a great job with him, too. This is just personal taste.

Legion is probably my favorite character in this game. I mean.. I don't even know where to begin. He puts so much more depth into the Geth. Again, I love pairing him with Tali and I want to take him to the Flotilla next time to see what happens.

Uh, Morinth.. I have not unlocked Morinth.. and I don't think I'd like Morinth. I'd like to kill her. Not help Samara kill her, but.. a redemption sort of thing. I'm kind of interested in keeping her alive to see what happens in Mass effect 3, though.

Yeah this is a long post, and I rambled a bit, but anyways, to sum it up... my favorite characters in Mass Effect two are...   Legion, Tali, Garrus, Jack.  Grunt or Zaeed would probably be next, I think they are equally badass.

Edit:  Oh yeah, least favorite character...

Uh...

Miranda.  Yeah.  Without a doubt.  Followed by Mordin and Jacob.  But I like Jacob and Mordin a lot.  I can't say the same for Miranda but I like her okay.

The bounty hunter, although he has some good lines.

He's just a gun for hire.

Rage is one hell of an anesthetic.

PS: I loved his stories.  Visit him regularly for them to hear them before you call him off, he's a lot more than just a gun for hire once you get to know him.

Thane.

I'm sorry, maybe it's him being the victim of extreme overhype, but I had NO emotional attachment whatsoever to him at all, couldn't understand a word he said (thank the Maker for subtitles) and getting through his loyalty was equal to something along the lines of water torture. I'm trying really hard to at least tolerate him, but I don't think that's going to happen. =/

Grunt without a doubt. Steve Blum (Grunt's VA, as well as countless others) is used WAY TOO MUCH in video games and at this point anytime I hear his incredibly distinct voice it's distracting and annoying.

Miranda. Even when she softened toward me, I never felt like I could trust her. She had her allegiances, and they weren't to me.

I would have to say Jack. She's definitely not the kind of person I'd want to be around. Too vulgar and immature.

Zaeed I felt was very lame, and a pretty disappointing piece of DLC along with the Normandy crash site.  That said he was free, so fine.  I just found his concept cliched and uninteresting.

I also found both Cerberus pc's to be pretty boring.  Mira's "it's hard being perfect" motif and Jacob's 'my father is the heart of darkness' backstory just both never grabbed me.

I thought Jack, Mordin, Grunt, Tali, Samara, and Garrus were done well.

So far the only purpose for Miranda is eye candy and for her Cerberus Officer bonus to party members. Personality wise, she bores me to tears. "Boo hoo, I'm perfect. Boo hoo, Mommy didn't love me... oh wait... there was no mommy." I know I'm being mean since she doesn't actually "Boo hoo" about it, but she just grates on my nerves. She is an unfortunate staple in my party thanks to her wonderful party boost. Grrrrrrr......

I actually like all my crew...I mostly like garrus and tali because they were in ME 1, but I don't really get it what's jacob doing here...I mean every other party member has something that makes him especially suited for the mission(grunt being the perfect krogan, jack being one of the most powerfull human biotic, garrus for his experience and tactics, samara for her near matriarch biotic powers and so on)...now don't get me wrong I really like jacob but don't really get it why's he here...
