Is is possible to save early, choose Morinth, then reload your old save to unlock Dominate withotu actually choosing her?

I just can't bear killing Samara, even as a renegade.  It feels so... wrong.

But yeah, is this possible?

Pretty sure it is. I saved at her apartment, let her kill samara. I think with all powers once you performed the relative quest action it is unlocked on your profile.
