Is is possible to save early, choose Morinth, then reload your old save to unlock Dominate withotu actually choosing her?

I just can't bear killing Samara, even as a renegade.  It feels so... wrong.

But yeah, is this possible?

Even better... can you kill Morinth?  And no, I don't mean by sacrificing her.  Literally, outright kill her.  To right the wrong you did before.. it would make a very good sidestory.  Either way, I am just wondering.

Ah, so Morinth can really be chosen? Niiice, I can't wait to get my RenShep to get there. She, Grunt and Renegade Jack in the team... bloodbath ensured.

The only difference I've seen a cutscene after you decide to let her kill Aresh in her loyalty mission or spare him. If she kills him she says, "I'm free." If you spare him she says, "I'm better than him. He's stuck in the past."

And I didn't know that you could get Morinth. I thought that was just her pleading for help before she got owned.

Samara gets Reave, Morinth gets Dominate.

I miss typed, I meant Morinth. In that SHE gets dominate afterwards - it doesn't unlock dominate for YOU to use, so if you do it and go back and kill her she's not around to have it.

With advanced training you can, it lets you pick a power from a loyal squadmate.

Ahh, I see that point ... But doesn't it have to be a currently loyal squadmate? Or is it like in DA that once unlocked (made loyal) it is available for all future playthroughs?

I'm pretty sure you can use them on future playthroughs as well

On my second playthrough now .. it'll be a while before I get to that point again... though I guess the only way to test is to NOT make someone loyal and see if their power is still available.

I mean dominate really isn't even all that useful to me. Maybe on an engineer, then you could AI hack, drone, and dominate and have 3 pets for a limited time in very limited situations.. but overall, I'd rather have special ammo, a shield, or simply a more useful ability.



I am just a completionist.

I'm assuming it's your extra skill. Of course it might be absolutely nothing.



As for Morinth, this is 2 weeks late, but I tested it a long time ago and it worked just fine.
