Ditto, I think I'll be able to run it on high-very high. I'm really happy that it's 20 gigs, it's a great sign!Aieth wrote...
Must say I'm glad I got a new computer earlier this year. Been waiting for this game for so long.

But heh 270gb left so plenty of room for all those modules in the future

Actually, in most MMOs, all of the content ends up cached on the client side once you've done a full update. And code is tiny by comparison, so is basically insignificant.Nilwarp wrote...
To the OP: why do you compare the size of a stand-alone game with a MMO where most of the code/content is not hold on the client side? That makes no sense to me, sorry.

I remember when the games were in mb (omg, this game is huge, it's 20mb!!!!)
Anyway, 600GB of space over here. I am amazed how soon it wen't all the way from "You won't be able to fill that, ever " to "Another TB or two may come in handy"

Cmon, the answer to this one is painfully obvious.
You know I had to incite it. <_<

My gaming laptop's got 500 GB, about 60% of that is free.
I have a 1 TB external, but that's reserved for downloaded Japanese media.
My old 320 GB and 640 GB externals have some free space since moving stuff from them to the 1 TB one, so when push comes to shove, I could move other games to those to make space for DA:O additions.
I'm stuck with my 250gb+80gb hard drive
I might have some 16mb RAM somewhere ;( And an atari, damn, back then a game wasn't over 3mb, and could last easil 20 hours+

Eg. NWN2's installer needed space to fit 2 copies of the game because of this. However usually a game does uncompressing the data in chunks to avoid it being quite that bad.

I felt the same way when my "Sword of the Samurai" floppy was corrupted.

Yay! Nostalgia! Ultima V on the ol' C64, I believe, weighed in at a massive 5 whole floppy disks. Probably around 800KB of total stuff. So, DA:O should be about...
*does math in head that is most likely completely wrong*
25,000 times better than Ultiva V
