So I got home from a trip today to find my ME 2 having arrived, proceeded to install it and now it wants me to give the cerberus code and for the death of me I find no such thing within the box.
It's the standard edition and it talks about the cerberus network with big bold letters in the back of the box but there's no freaking such code in it so how am I supposed to get it now?

I've tried to email EA and ask for a code directly from them. Since I've registered the game via my account, it should be adequate proof of purchase. Havent gotten an answer yet, but I guess its worth a try...

I have a similar problem. Bought a copy of Mass Effect 2 from a local brick and mortar store and was horrified to find that the pamphlet is in there, but there is simply no code on it. I had bought 2 copies from the same store (one for myself and another for a colleague) and his copy has the same problem. I am wondering whether the entire lot being sold in my locality (Mumbai, India) is defective.

Missing from my box too (UK, regular PC version). Here http://social.biowar...redeem_code.php it says "If you are having trouble redeeming codes, visit support.ea.com for assistance." So I followed the link and used the "Email Us" and explained it was missing. Still waiting for a reply though. Hope its of any help.
Also register your game as it may help as proof of purchase, maybe.

guys, the problem is not with EA. It is most probably with your reseller.
Today i went to buy a copy for a friend, I told him about my problem and he replied in a very naive way, .
Oh? You want an online code?
I replied:
I bloody sure do
and then he grabbed a pack of stickers and stuck 2 on the new box.

EA support solved it! I talked to a customer service rep. at their support chat. He just associated a Cerberus Network Key to my account!

My box didn't contain a code.
The chat is utterly useless here. It keeps canceling every time I'm first in line after waiting 30 minutes. And EA hasn't responded to my email support request. I'm starting to get tired of this.
Give me Cerberus access damn it! Bioware used to be great but this whole code fiasco and dealing with EA is laughable, pathetic and appalling.

Ok, I finally got through to an EA chat agent. He attached the Cerberus code to my account and the DLC is now available. So everything seems to be in order now.
Support/interest in issues on this forum is weak at best. But if you actively pursue other means of support, like live chat, the help is at least swift and to the point - when it works, as I had to try 4 times to get the chat working. The first three times it just canceled on me when I was first in line.
