Spoilers.........
A word of warning.... after you complete the second quest, make sure to ask Liara where her anger is coming from, and why she didn't tell you everything before. These are one-chance options on the dialog wheel, and if you don't pick them, you never find out why Liara is acting so strangely.

Her quest is broken up into two parts.... in the first, you need to hack three terminals. All three are in the same room as Shiala. In the second part, you need to hack 5 terminals, and most are located on the trading floor. Just look for the little blue boxes that float above hackable terminals.

yeah Liara is my fav too, good to have another like minded person on these boards. Then again I think we actually have a mob of people who love Liara :-D

a lot more than i expected though, not everyone is for the nice type that is a little nerdy with all her insights on history and studies. I found her innocence and character in ME1 to be cool. It felt nice to see her in ME2 even after considering the circumstances. When i walked up the stairs and saw her in the room I was like "Yay! fav character is back!" lol

A lot of people are upset about her supposed "change" in this game. She hasn't really changed, but you have to work hard, and make the right dialog options, to figure that out. Why Bioware decided to make Liara appear cold and bitter to casual players is beyond me. It's borderline character assassination.
With all the LI's from the first game, drama is being interjected for future plots, with either Liara's cold shoulder or Kaiden/Ashley's rage at Cerberus, so the catalyst is there for you to either break it off with them and pursue someone else, or to just be sad about it and deal.

Liara's still one of my favorite characters though, and behind the Ice Queen shell, she's still the same.
Speaking of the Observer, who is he? I was doing the quest around midnight, so reading the terminals turned my head into mush (and I'm nowhere my 360 right now), so I couldn't figure it out.

None of them are the Observer. Liara's asisstant is the Observer. Just remember..... when you get the option to ask Liara where her anger comes from, ASK! Then ask her why she didn't tell you anything before. If you don't, the options disappear and you never find out why she's acting so strange.Captain Uccisore wrote...
