It's funny, my compatriots complain that Jacob's romance is difficult to avoid and refuse to speak to him.

It was easy enough to avoid. I made sure to not ask him if he was single. Now my femshep gets to do the same awkward bro hug that my manshep does.

I didn't ask him about his history with Miranda, just whatever option was in the middle. I just wanted to our friendship to be in the middle until I found out my Shepard's future with Kaiden.

I didn't ask him about his history with Miranda, just whatever option was in the middle. I just wanted to our friendship to be in the middle until I found out my Shepard's future with Kaiden.



Now that I know Kaiden/Shepard ain't gonna work in ME2, is it TOO LATE for me to romance Jacob since I didn't hit on him like a ferocious tiger from the start?

It's never to late for the PRIIIZE. Seriously, just be good to him and he'll show up at THE CAPTAINS QUARTERS. Btw, Garrus and Thane are also up for romance. Just don't swallow or ask Garrus about calibrations.

I know, I'm keeping my options open for all those guys: Thane, Garrus, Jacob, and Kaiden.

It's just that there's talk around here that FemShep chances of a romance with him become 0% if I didn't ask from the get-go (and in a HIGHLY unnecessary agressively flirtatious tone) if "he was single" (you guys know that conversation, right), and I'm wondering if that's true.

Ok, all kidding aside, all the 6 main LI plots go the same in ME2. Talk them, get their loyalty mission, do the mission, talk to them again, pick paragon options, see special romance scene when you go through the Omega 4 relay.

Honestly I think Jacob gets too much hate for his romance with Shepard. Shepard's lines are just as bad or worse than Jacob's. She sounds like she wants to mount him right in the armory during their first conversation. Truthfully femshep just got screwed in the romance department. Although Garrus' scene is pure hilarity.

I don't blame Jacob. I blame BW for being so utterly clueless when it came to the Jacob romance plot...
