I know that during a scene on Horizon ashley is done with you and leaves you. I think what she say's about you being careful and the message that she sends you later on, may possibly be a lead onto her wanting to be with you in the third installment. Especially when she writes poetry in the message. But I want everyones opinion on this and to see if you guys may agree with me. Thanks Everyone

I believe BW has said that she will be a love interest in the third one and if you stay faithful to her it will be worth it (in ME3 ill be explaining to Ashley how making out with Miranda was perfectly fine because it isn't like I slept with her).

I think there's definitely more the Shepard/Ash story. It's clear she still loves him. I think there's more to all the ME1 love stories.

What if I am using an import character that has the love interest to Liara instead?

Feh. I kind of expected something a bit warmer from Ash after I'd returned from the dead and saved her life AGAIN. Emails, I'm afraid, don't cut it.
Ash had her chance. One woman's loss is another woman's gain. Miranda, in this case

Since Bioware's stated reason for keeping the Virmire survivor and Liara off the crew in ME2 was to spare them for ME3, they'd damn well better be in the crew. As love interests, if you had a romance going.
We will know if they were being truthful or feeding us horses#!t once we know if Tali and Garrus are back too. Though how could they be, since they are both dead...
Now if we could only get Wrex too...

I think Bioware is very clever. My main ME1 import was one where I romanced Ashley. But playing through ME2 and seeing how she freaked out as compared with Tali sticking with you all along, I found myself emotionally engaged to the point where I went with Tali because you can depend on her to go by what she knows of you, and not just what she hears. Which is more than can be said of Ashley. Add to that the issue of Ashley's poetry habit being incredibly dorky and I was sold with the switch.

cat fight between Ashley and apparently very aggressive Tali... hmmmm I'd really like to see that.

Ash: "Hey we're good right? You know I sent you that e-mail?"
Jack: "Who's that?"
Shepard: "A really bad one night stand."

I didn't even check my mail at all, so I didn't even see her say sorry.
"Why didn't you check your email?"
"Too busy banging Tali."

I understood her anger. She does send an e-mail saying sorry, so I remained loyal. I liked that scene before going through the omega-4 relay, looking at her picture just seemed like such a memorable moment.

I am looking forward to meeting Ash with my Shep/Tali.

I can understand her anger. Basically Shep has been gone 2 years, she's most likely already dealt with her grief but then he shows back up, hasn't contacted her and is working for the group that you dealt with in the first game that did some horrible things.
Would have like a bit more, maybe another scene or two but I'm definitely going to have at least one save where I remained loyal to her.

I understood her anger and thought it was totally in character, but it does represent a failing that she can't put her emotions aside. If Shep is up and active then it is IMPORTANT. Shep needs every person that he can get his hands on. She was there when Sovereign nearly took over the galaxy because of how wrapped up in their own affairs everyone had become, ignoring the signs.
I would have respected her anger more had she expressed her disappointment with his decision but joined anyway. Reaper threat > all personal issues.
And its like Shep told Garrus/Tali - he needs people he can trust.
