Dear BioWare: EA Gamertag Linking Deactivated Cerberus Network. Please Read.

Dear BioWare,

I purchased my copy of Mass Effect 2 Collector's Edition on release day, as you can see it's registered here on the BioWare Social Network. I entered in my Cerberus Network code that came with the game and it was fine. However, my gamertag was not linked to the correct EA Master account, it was linked to an old EA account I didn't use anymore. Which is why I couldn't get access to my Collector's armor and weapon. So yesterday (two days later), the forum administrator on EA's forums linked my gamertag to the correct account. I was able to download the armor and weapon, and I thought everything would be fine; however, as soon as I restarted Mass Effect 2, I didn't have access to the Cerberus Network due to the gamertag linking. So now I have the Collector's gear, but no Cerberus Network access.

I refuse to spend 1200 Microsoft Points to have access to it again when I already had it from purchasing the game in the first place. I'd like to know who I need to contact in order to receive another Cerberus Network code please. Thank you.

same thing happened to me I have the collectors armour code on this account and cereus on another.

Yes, this has happened to me as well. I wasn't given any of the instructions telling me to wait for 90 minutes on support.ea.com/chat before activating my codes.



I'm not sure why they chose these EA codes over xbox live codes, but I'm sure they had their reasons for it. It is unfortunate that we all had to muck things up and then find out from message board posts on the internet how we were supposed to get our accounts linked together.



If we need proof of purchase to get our cerberus back we can provide the box serial # and even prove that our accounts have the collector's edition armours already connected.

the EXACT SAME issue with me...i have the CE and used my CN code on myself. once they linked my gamertag i got my armors but my ****** Cerberus Network is gone!!!!! can i get it back without payin $15

Yes. Just as you had to link your gamertag with your EA account with someone on support.ea.com/chat you must also restore Cerberus Network Access with them. I can confirm this works as I have just recently got my lovely Cerberus back :)

EA will help they can add the download to your queue. Honestly people there are 100's of other posts on here like this, look around a little.

You think that's bad...  I acidently purchased the CN, so I am already out of $15 even though I already have the content from the CE.  EA really dropped the ball with this and I am not the least bit happy.  Also it's funny they are charging $15 more for the content when the actual CE was only $10 more.

Unfortunately some of us in Canada like myself, don't want to call long distance and wait on hold for an hour or more, especially if I have to pay long distance charges for the call. Furthermore, I've sat in the Live Chat queue for more than 30-40 minutes 6 separate times only to be dropped from chat each and every time when my place in line comes up.

So that leaves me only two options. Contact EA via email, which God knows how long that'll take, or post here for assistance from BioWare. Thankfully, a BioWare employee that's following me on Twitter is looking into this issue for me. Hopefully he can send a code my way fairly soon, and I can be done with this EA debacle.

Still lovin' the game though. 30 hours in, and I can't get enough of it. LOL! :lol:

Yeah I have the same problem as everyone else and also accidentally purchase another cerberus network. It makes me twice as angry when I buy something I already have.

I did the EA live chat, I got my collectors armour/weapon but no cerberus...I guess I was lucky, I DLed all the stuff apart from the normandy one.
