While I do enjoy the game a whole lot, in fact I think it's fantastic fun and that's perhaps I wish for this even more, there's not enough quests around. Basically, you run around and gather your companions, then do their loyalty quests. Once you've done that you can pretty much do the 2 story quests and do the final mission.

There are some side-quests of course but they're sadly really short. Please add on to this fantastic game :D

That's what they keep for the DLC system, I guess.

It's nowadays marketing.

That would work for me, I don't really care about cost when it gives pleasure :)

Yea, as long as they balance it out with DLC (I hope), it'll be fine. I really do miss having so many side quests, and I sincerely hope they add a bunch with the DLC.

I did notice there being fewer side missions than the original. However there are more than people think, just gotta look carefully.

I'm just glad the side missions are all unique rather than leading to identical prefabricated structures.

I agree, Zapped. They did a great job in the mission variety.

I hate how game now a days have downloadable add-on what happen to beating a game and getting a new level or finding items that unlock new level.. This game is way to short I wish I didnt buy it.. hahaha should have rented it they used most of the space for movie scenes and the mission were all guided and only one path just like dragon age. EA make games lame trying to please the general public

well its feels like a lot to me, i mean I have logged +26 hrs in my first plathrough so far and have only half of the ppl recruited . . .and yes while I have done quite a few side quests I'd say 15ish hrs of side questing isn't too bad. But with dlc things will make it even more full than it already is and this game is already larger and longer than ME1 so i am happy.

It took me 38 hours to finish. I wanted to do everything. I basically scanned every world, made sure each cluster was at 100%. There's a lot more side missions than you might think. Even with 2-3 hours on mineral scanning, not bad for a game like ME2, with all those sound files to make the game bigger.

Definitely want more, though. Hopefully through Free DLC (and non-free DLC for bigger ones).

I think my favorite one just for creepy factor was either the Geth weather machine (what are they doing? :>) or the mission where you have to choose to blow up a town or spaceport. No taking a third option. :)

They didn't give us the ability to continue the game after completing the main story if this wasn't the case.

I hope there are DLC *bunches* (not just single missions, but a whole expansion would be awesome), but I also hope they are better that Zaleed's Loyalty mission. While it looked beautiful, it really didn't add anything to the story (we've dealt with mercs before, thanks).

42 side missions is not enough?

There are 19 N7 missions. If the question is would I trade the 19 N7 missions in this game for the hours of my life spent wandering around featureless planets in ME1, then yes.

Yes I would.

I do look forward to seeing more in the DLC though.

19 N7 missions and 23 addtional missions (some of which are nested inside other quests). thats 42 side quests (Not including the planetary mining time sinks).
and yet some feel this is not enough? Must just be my Table Top rpg experiences but that seems like quite a bit to me.

Even just the main ones come to a large number. I do expect full expansion DLC though, not just...the Zaeed sort of deal.

I just hope they make good on their 'free DLC', I already bought the Collectors edition and wasnt impressed on what was inside that, so I just hope they do add enough to keep us entertained enough not to wander off to other games for a while... Still not looking forward to the scanning again, hopefully they will add a quest to upgrade EVI or something so we can be lazy lol.

there really wasn't that many missions compared to the first. The mission variety and depth was muuuch better and i didn't feel like "i've seen this building like 50x over" or "why are there Geth here!?!" the missions had alot of depth but simply lacked breadth, there just wasn't enough of them.

I personally loved all the new side missions. Each one feels unique. I still haven't gotten through them all yet (I waited until I had most of my squad mates). I've noticed that there are a lot of systems that don't have N7 missions in them. Who's willing to bet that the Hammerhead DLC is going to come with a bunch of new missions in those systems?

Might be a bit of a pain if we'd eventually run out of credits for fuel just re-exploring, doesnt cost alot but if you bought every upgrade then the credits would dwindle eventually... Unless the % of exploration was removed from a planet that you'd have to go back to.. Easier option ofc would be more systems to explore, but you'd still eventually run out of credits unless you had something repeatable to earn easy credits perhaps.

just finished... need further quests, further party member dialogue. more options. should be able to invite people up to chambers for drinks, even throw a party! jacob seems to want one.... all survived but zaeed and useless jack chick. there needs to be a few more long quests, even bring out a 2 dvd expansion, i know many of us would be willing to pay for it! just give us MORE!!! should get to kill another reaper... maybe harbinger? he asked for it ALL game, we should at least take him on! let us use the gun turrets on the normandy while edi and joker pilot it!

It has tons of quests...I mean you have 11 loyalty quests alone and alot of those are very interesting.

However there could always be more, hopefully we will continue to get more in DLC...hopefully for free on the Cereberus Network.

And yes I want to get loud and spill some drinks on the Citadel with Jacob after the main quest.
