Install a proper driver for your monitor, one that only includes display modes it supports.

allready have the latest drivers from my monitor manufacturer (and graphiccards aswell, too) installed, so this shouldnt be the problem

I am running the game in 1920*1200 in 60hz, and everything is running perfectly. Are you sure its the Hz thats the problem.
May by a driver issue or something?

What's your OS?
In XP there is a little trick:
Start->Run->Dxdiag->More Help (Tab)-> Direct Draw (i think i don't quite remember since i have Windows 7) there's suppose to be a Override button and there you should insert the refresh rate which your monitor supports, this will override it for every application so you won't get the Over Frequency crap.
Cheers!

my os is vista, gonna give this a try, maybe it will work for vista too....well i would, if the game would be working (crash at reaper core), even the patch is useless...
