First off, i got my version of the game yesterday, im pretty sure this is the normalest EU version there is, no pre-order, no collectors edition, no deluxe whatever version.
I installed the game with no problems, logged in to my bioware account ingame without a problem, but once i start looking into the DLC bits it starts getting foggy.
This Cerberus Network thing, what is it exactly? Is it a purely out-of-game system designed to display news and download DLC? Is it in-game at all?
I tried pressing the "Activate Cerberus Network" Button to the right of the main menu and it asks me to Redeem Code with the Cerberus Network Card enclosed in all retail versions of the game or purchase access to Cerverus Network. Great, i think, ill just look through the DVD box for an extra code or something, but the only code i can find is my cd-key on lower right inside part of the DVD box. I leaf through the manual and it specifically states on page 4: "Use the Cerberus login included with the game, and follow the login procedure." But there is no other Cerberus card or "Cerberus login" included with the game, only the CD-key. With nothing left to do, i type in the CD-key into the redeem-code box in-game, and oddly enough it works! Now theres an option in the main menu for Downloadable Content and a bit of text at the bottom crawling by saying "New downloadable content is available". So i press the Downloadable Content botton and my internet browser goes directly to some DLC page that shows a list of available DLC items for Dragon Age. And to top it all off, today, there is no downloadable content button on the main menu, and when i press activate Cerberus Network i have to redeem a code or purchase access. How do i actually go about getting the DLC, whatever it is?
When i try to redeem my code manually from my Bioware SocialNetwork account i simply says "Code not recognized, please check that you have entered it correctly" I realise this could be due to two things, either ive already redeemed it ingame and cant use it again or im using the wrong code. But either way i havnt recieved what i feel im entitled to, since using the code in-game didnt give me anything, and using it manually returns an error message.
Furthermore i read a couple of days ago that Bioware announced that the DLC available on release day was free. Well afaik, its release day today (jan 29th) but i cant access any DLC from in-game.
And what exactly is available? I saw something about an ex-alliance merc you could download some DLC for, other than the Cerberus Network thing, whatever it is.
So to sum it all up: What DLC is available? Where is my Cerberus Network login? And most importantly, how do i get the DLC that is supposed to be free, and/or that which im entitled to get recieve for purchasing the retail version of the game.
Hope somebody has some answers.
