I have encounted a problem trying to transfer my files. I rebuilt my system after i finished my playthough of mass effect 1 and i copyed my saved games to a flash drive. I do have mass effect 1 installed on my current system but have not played though to the end. I have read somewhere that you need to have had the current installion of ME1 with the save files you need to transfer to ME2. is this true? Im starting to think it is im going into configuration and seting my "copy save files" into the right files where my save files are. Nothing is coming up when i try to import save files from the main menu. Any help would be great.

Just to be clear: did you copy those ME1 save files into your new install's Save folder (in your My Documents)? If you didn't, try that, then try importing the saves into ME2.

yay i got it working it was my bad. I was using the wrong saves when i imported them to my flash drive i did not finish the game when imported it from mt flash drive. thanks
