Just spotted this bit of news:

http://www.cinemable...ased-22553.html

About the PS 3, they had this to say:

"The PC and PlayStation 3 versions are still in testing," said BioWare's Victor Wachter on the officialforums. "We expect the PC to complete testing in time for release early next week. We will update you with PlayStation 3 status when we have more information."

I know that this is in no way a mind blowing news but it appears that a patch and the DLC wil probably hit the PSN anytime now. But don´t forget about the boycott people

Found this info on Neoseeker.com hope it helps

The PlayStation 3 update is on the way, or so BioWare assures, as it is taking them longer than the 360 patch. That, and Sony's certification process just takes longer than Microsoft's.

If you don't mind the lengthy read, here's the entire notice posted by BioWare in their DA:O community forums:

The issue we saw on 360, which was introduced with the title update, also exists on the PS3 patch that was planned to go out with the Return to Ostagar DLC for PS3 – it is a console agnostic issue. However, the title update / patch itself (without the issue) is needed for both platforms in order to fix some main game items, as well as enable functionality for Return to Ostagar, and future functionality that benefits upcoming DLC. This meant we were unable to simply go ahead and release the PS3 version independent of pulling the 360 version, we now needed to re-open the PS3 version as well before that went public.

Once we were able to resolve the issue for 360 and delivered the second title update to MS for final certification then work began in earnest on the short hop to moving this across to PS3 and directing the test focus there. The nature of the issue was such that it required the same programmers and made more sense for that particular ‘nut’ to be cracked on the 360 first to really understand how to fix it once and for all, so this was not something we could do in parallel for both platforms.

Lastly, Sony's certification time simply takes longer than Microsoft's. It is also worth mentioning again that as we saw with the original RtO dates, even once in Cert until we actually pass an issue can still be found anytime either by ourselves or Sony/MS which would re-start the process all over again. In practical terms, what that means is that until we are virtually on the last days of certification it is not easy to provide an estimated release date – and we’re not there yet.

What we can do is update you once we get there with Sony certification, as we did with the 360 updates.

It will probably take a couple more days. They still have to "fix" it then get it to Sony. Oh well, I'm still gonna buy I guess. It would be nice if they offered it free if you download it the first day. But, whatever.

Good to hear, Bioware. This is the sort of material that should leave folks a little more relaxed when it comes to the patch and downloadable content.

I hope that we get it soon. I just don't think it is fair that the Microsoft companies are getting it first.

agreed, hardly fair. They should have released it on all platforms at the same time.

However because they didn't, I am avoiding most of the threads so it wont be spoiled for me

They could have easily waited to release the DLC when it would be available to everyone but they chose not to.I still think this is part of an aggreement with MS because originally they stated that the 360 and PC versions would be out on the same day (Jan 5) and the PS3 version would be out later in the month. So they already went into this to begin with by favoring other platforms.

Then the 360 version gets released on the 29th and everyone gets told "well the PC version will take about a week more for testing and the PS3 version...well...no clue". But wait...I thought the PC and 360 would get theirs on the same day?? Well look at that....they were able to do a week's worth of testing for the PC version in only a few hours after they announced that and it was released...wait for it...on the 29th. Funny how that worked out.

Again, they could have waited the week or 2 (or however long they want to screw around for) to push the release out concurrently for all platforms but they made the choice to make excuses by saying they couldn't work on all the platforms at once. There have been countless games that have been multi-platform that have been patched and received DLC at the same time...so that excuse to me doesn't work.

I have no idea why bioware hates us....1st is the lack of mass effect on the ps3 then now finally when they have dragon age on ps3.... things ranging from bad connectivity to bad frame rate and now this. Will their discrimination to the best gaming console's user ever end?

The wait has been frustrating for sure. I do hope they have learned some lessons with this latest fiasco and improve their release process so that PS3 players will not get the additional shaft of waiting after it's released on the MS platform - or if it is unavoidable due to supposed delays with Sony - that they will set accurate expectations.

I am really looking forward to playing RtO!

Hopefully the title update will have some bug fixes and RtO will be coming soon. I hate looking at my 360 that already has the content and regret not being able to play it since I bought it for my PS3.

Don't get your hopes up for this Thursday. Being a realist, I expect RtO to come out NEXT Thursday at the earliest. If I were to be Cautiously Optimistic, I'd say DEFINITELY This Thursday.

So, Next Thursday, maybe, the following Thursday, most likely.
