Ditto this - I already have an XBOX 360 but I went and won a PS3 at Christmas time and in my excitement went and bought DAO for it. Not really liking that desicion now

PS3 may get shafted for release dates, but at least it's the better console.



I would rather have better rendering than sooner DLC

The thing is I doubt the rendering or presentation will be any different on the PS3 or 360 version. It just seems weird that the PS3 version still has not been released. Where as on the 360 version there is a patch and RtO same thing on the PC.

If that is true then that is indeed terrible but expected news. 

I wonder what excuses the Bioware brown-nosers would use this time.  Oh wait I know, probably the same old ones (Bioware is too busy on working on non-existant patches, too busy on the PC/Xbox 360 versions/DLC/Mass Effect 2/SWTOR/unconfirmed upcoming PS3 game, we're already 'blessed' with a Bioware game on the PS3 already...nevermind the poor port and no support, etc.).

Use common sense you little cry babies. BioWare has already said the PS3 version of RTO was in Sony certification. Why on Earth would it take a whole month to go through? The only way that's even possible would be if it failed Sony certification.

What?! Why would you thank him for that "update" when you yourself said nothing official even similar to that has been said? The last word BioWare gave PS3 players was 4 days ago when they said the PS3 version of RTO was sent to Sony certification.

PLEASE......explain to me why you would thank him for that "update"?! In no way is what he said an update. It's just a random date given by a random guy, who joined this forum 5 days ago.

I see nothing official there. Just a random date from a random site. It's not like there's a quote from someone at BioWare there saying that's the date. Until I hear from someone actually offical I don't buy it. BioWare told us here on this forum that as soon as they know when they can release it, they'd tell us HERE, not through a random website.

I will wait to see an offical release date for RtO. for a variety of reasons.

one the Feb release day is not listed on any BioWare site.

two really to take 4 weeks for cert?

three the 23rd is a tuesday, PSN updates on thursday, and even the in-game buying, you still dl from the PS Store, so unless Sony is going to do a special update for $5 DLC it will remain thursday.

four we all know how reliable some game pages are on their info and some are are shooting in the dark and just taking a guesstimate.

What I found most troubling is, that I do now have to avoid reading most of the threads in this forum as people are prone to revealing things about the game they do not consider spoilers, but as I would not want to know anything before I play myself... I do understand the fact that not all companies act in the same pace, but maybe holding back all publishing would have been the best solution considering the result: many unhappy, many happy and too many dangers of spoilers for those unhappy ones who do not scream out of joy now in the first place. But certainly - what is done is done, but maybe next time this could be considered as potential issue - waiting is worse if you are part of one restricted group - and maybe some further checking may be done while waiting the ps3, as it appears by following those other groups that there are some issues still left in pc and xbox versions as well.

Pretty disappointing really, especially as I own both consoles but my 360 (i have dragon age for both.. yes... i know.. sad) is in other country as i am located at the moment - here i have ps3. I would not consider this to be good thing even if I had my 360 here - although i cant say whether i would be writing this post.

Anyways. I must also add before I am considered to be whiner that yes, Dragon Age is still the best thing happened to me in a while - but also worst as I should be graduating from the university this year and the topic of my dissertation cannot be the preservation of the darkspawn bones.. which i seem to be studying more than actual study material.

About the PS 3, they had this to say:

"The PC and PlayStation 3 versions are still in testing," said BioWare's Victor Wachter on the officialforums. "We expect the PC to complete testing in time for release early next week. We will update you with PlayStation 3 status when we have more information."

I know that this is in no way a mind blowing news but it appears that a patch and the DLC wil probably hit the PSN anytime now. But don´t forget about the boycott people :happy:

Youd have been better off posting it in the PSN Ps3 DragonAge forums, for those who dont make it to over to the Bioware forums.
