It's going to cost 40$, in USA. In europe is known the price of only the PC version, 30 euro. I don't know the price in £

Has anyone considered that Sony is in fact protecting the consumer from the game-breaking, buggy **** that X-Box 360 owners go when they dropped RTO on Live?

I have some serious doubts about the quality of the Ps3 copy of DA, very bad frame rate, dropped audio, lagging loot drops, etc. etc.

Could it be that BioWare handed RTO to Sony and then it was rejected because of lack of QA with the title? Sounds very possible, I seriously doubt BioWare would advertise the fact that their Ps3 version is delayed due to its low quality...

It is quite possible that SONY is looking out for the 'consumer'. They have alway been very particular about licensing issues vs quality issues. This does not mean that Bioware is releasing junk...face it nobody has ever created software that was perfect the 1st time, never required an update, a patch, or anything else. This isn't something that you can't say is either one party's fault or the others. With Sony, you cannot make a change to the basic original licenesed prpduct without it going through all the red tap. If Bioware found that in order to fix the problem with RTO they needed to change even the most insignificant thing with the original licenesed product, it can be like starting over. SONY is good at what they do and they make a good product,....for now. They are just VERY difficult to work with at times. If Bioware decided not to do business with Sony we wouln't have the game to begin with, which would be worse than a delay in a DLC. At least Sony isn't like they tried to be with their long gone BETA --- When a production company boght a licence from them to have the movie released on beta....to a certain extent they were buying the rights, it was an exclusive contract. BETA by far was better than VHS--Sony just couldn't get any of the production companies to do business with tem. At least they did learn that lesson and aren't that difficult anymore.

Regarding what you said about how nobody ever created software that was perfect the 1st time...

I just want to point out that most, if not all, of the games I've played(final fantasy, star ocean, valkyrie profile, halo) never seemed to have any bugs whatsoever.  And on the rare occasion that I bumped into one, it was never enough to crap on my experience of the game itself.  Hell, even Oblivion and Fallout 3 never gave me enough problems to stop me from enjoying it.

As for Dragon Age, the most common issue with loot taking significant time to appear on a corpse will typically show its ugly head around after 15 minutes of gameplay and will continue to worsen the longer you play.  The framerate issues are less frequent and harder to notice.  Both of these are minor, if a bit constant, annoyances that can be put up with.

The REAL issues would be the broken and/or missing parts of the game which gives it the impression of being only half-finished or was rushed out before it was ready and still aren't frickin fixed.  Dexterity bug being the most prominent, and then the tactics lines that don't do anything, and the item effects that don't do anything.  Then there's the infamous game-breaker in the dwarven main quest that won't let you progress.

The final issue is the utter lack of communication.  Sony certification WILL NOT stop anyone from saying "We're done with RtO/Patch, now it just needs to be certified."'  Sony certification does NOT stop anyone from Bioware from posting in a certain section of its own damn forums for Christ sake.

Hmm. What's the game-breaker bug in the Dwarven main quest? I've yet to encounter it, obviously.

today or tomorrow someone from Bioware will come on and give the usual "still in testing" excuse and "coming soon" lie. I still want them to answer why they couldn't wait to release the DLC to everyone and be fair since this game is multi-platform rather than play favorites.I have never heard of anything taking this long to get through certification. The longest I can remember people talking about is maybe a couple days difference not weeks and weeks.

Two questions I want answered..

1.) Why did you HAVE to release the DLC early to 360 and PC? Why couldn't you wait until all platforms could get it at the same time?

2.) Why do you hide the Dragon Age PS3 forum from non-members and not all the other forums?

please Bioware, I think others would love to hear your answers on these questions. Please answer and try to prove you don't have your heads up MS's ***.

~sits and waits for the usual Bioware non-response~

Does anyone know if the patch is stand alone or included in RtO. It would be pretty silly if you had to BUY a patch for a game that is basicly broken.

Googled it the release date is set for the 23rd but it seems to always get pushed back which if it's in certification how does it keep getting pushed back certification means the work is already done on it and if it does come out on Feb 23rd you should be pissed because that would tell me they had a preset date in mind and that they weren't just waiting for it to come back form certification which could be anytime!

the 23rd date is from gamepressure.com if I am not mistaken.

as I said before though, that is a tuesday, and we all know PSN updates on thursdays. the only time they will do a different day update is if a big title is released that day. ie DAO for WK and Stone Prisoner DLC. still not an official word from BioWare.

I think they should include extra content in PS3 version or to made some discount to justify or apoligize for the waiting.

Anyway someone of Bioware should really reply here or make an announcement regarding ps3 version, waiting without knowing anything is worse that waiting knowing what is happening and how long we should wait again. If they have already a date in mind they should reveal it, also if it's 1 or 2 month from now, I think is the only way to calm down ps3 users.

I doubt that any of these questions will ever be answered.  No developer besides Valve would ever openly admit to having their collective heads shoved up M$'s ****.

Honestly, I am starting to not care about the DLC, this is a huge let down.  It seems like so many things are up in the air at BioWare, that things are falling through the cracks.  They are looking into making Dragon Age: Origins 2, Mass Effect 2 DLC and addtional Mass Effect announcements by the end of 2011 Q4 .  It sucks that the fans have to suffer with Dragon Age and it's many issues/bugs, now missing DLC.  They should just be honest and say "RtO will not be coming to the PS3." I would rather hear that, compared to the "waiting for Sony to certify the content."

Lol, you know that this can only happen in our dreams, right?
Anyway, this DLC is making me become completely mad.
It's simply impossible that a software house release a DLC on MS and PC a month before the PS3 version.

The worst thing is its never any official update or its always a response that says nothing they have spread out updates but there four or five lines of the same nothing. I just don't think this is a way to keep returning customers. Just give up on RtO it's out when its out and HOPE this doesn't carry over to Awakening.

Yes I really know that this won't happen , it was just a provocation ;-)

Anyway I (and I think also other people here) wouldn't be angry about it if someone of devs tells us something about real motivations of delay and a sort of ETA of RtO.
I should be more patient and calm also if I have to wait a month but waiting without informations is not good.

I completely agree with your comments.  This is a horrible way to keep returning customers.  I bet a lot of PS3 owners are rethinking all future purchases on BioWare IP's.

Technically I think anybody who is posting in the "Technical Support" area should bombard EA with all the issues.  BioWare has clearly stated this forum is a gamer to gamer assist gate.

Just read that thread... Bio-ware your treatment of the ps3 community makes me sick and judging by the amount of DA:O box's that fill the pre-owned section of all the game stores in my local area im not the only one that has had enough of this mistreatment. Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB

I have a feeling we won't get it until March.
