Are you saying you can't copy your saves from your HDD to your memory card anymore on Xbox 360?!

You should be able to move (not copy!) ME2 savegames to your MU.

Do you have your gamertag on your hdd or MU? Maybe that makes a difference too.

Can you confirm that it's working like that, November Sven?

Even between consoles?

Yes, it works, I can move but not copy the saves but that's all that counts :)

And yes I keep my GT on my MU, I have an xbox round my girlfriends and mums so have to swap between them

Just create 2 saves in the same spot and move one of them to your MU as a backup.:wizard:

Actually it was probably Microsoft policy. Because some achievements require importing saves being able to use MU would make it too easy to cheat. And who wants a xbox banned by microsoft?

i copied my saved game over to my MU so i can play in a friends room. I got there and it said start a new game. It has my saved game on the MU.. so I came back to my room. Deleted the MU copy's save and I go into the game. It still say's New Game. =[ Do I have to start all over, again? I was almost done with the game. Anyone have answers?

I believe you have to move it back to the HD again to play as my suspicion would be that ME2 only looks for saves on the HD. The only time I had a save option (as in the xbox screen to choose a save/load location) when loading the game was referring to ME1 importing.

Also there is a file (that you can move AND copy) called Mass Effect importer or something, I assume this might be the character details for your imported character if you had one and you might need that on the MU also.
I must admit I'm not too sure if you do need the file as I've always copied it the MU then to HDD everytime I take my saves home to play.

I copied my save this weekend to my MU and had no trouble. I have my profile and original saves on my Hdd. I don't know what the problem is. Mine works just like ME1 when I back stuff up on my MU.

If you aren't logged into xbox live with your profile your saves won't work if you have DLC associated with your saves on a different xbox then the one you originally downloaded the DLC on. By associated I mean ever downloaded anything for ME2.

I wasn't able to Copy my ME2 save game files to MU as well. :/ As as someone has alerady mentioned, I like to have 2 copies of my save games.

Btw, how many game save files do you see in System Section -> Memory -> HDD/MU -> Mass Effect 2.; I see just one game save file - 'Aurimas - <Date>', though, in-game I have 2 different saves + autosave. Do they hide ME2 save game files as it is for the ME1 save game which is used to import your save game to ME2?? :/

It seems as though all ME2 saves are collected into a single file... which is ridiculous as you are completely incapable of having a backup then.

When I browse my HDD I can see all my individual saves in the ME2 folder. I can copy a duplicate individual save to my MU no problem. There is something strange going on with other peoples saves. Making backups works like ME 1 for me when I am logged into xbox live.
