Is it just me, or does the characters look very bored .  Yes, I know you can change the facial expressions, but there is really not that many options.

In my opinion most the expressions you can pick from are just horrible or silly.

I think it's got alot to do with camera angles. JEBesh's chracter definately doesn't look bored, horrible or silly.

The expression slider seems to be pretty sensitive. A slight nudge to the right is usually enough to stop them from doing that blank stare.

Stormherald is right, camera angles help.

You might give the portrait some character by changing the camera angle or adding an expression. Use the slider manually though, for more control.



Anyway, to see how it turns out ingame, just have your character talk a little

That's what I am talking about. The expression slider does not have any meaningful expressions.



I am sure the characters will look good in game. To be honest, I am almost positive they will!

Your character looks like he just entered a room, but forgot why he went there in the first place.

with this avatar i tried to create the feeling of an aged veteran who has seen more than he cares to and knows how much is yet to come. The sadness and unavoidable loss like standing before the hoard with no way out grab your sword, see how long you can last and don't expect help to come.

Hm, if you don't overdo the expressions, they're fine imo.

This is so very true, your battle brothers and sisters at your side, and no way out. There comes a time, where even the young soldiers realize that the end of this conflict is not going to be one they wanted.



Facing the hoard there is no turning back. Cowards run, Grey Wardens embrace death if it comes, and will fight even death itself to end the Blight.

I am kinda ok with how mine turned out. But yeah. It's abit hard to get them not to look "bored" or "sad".

Camera angles, mouth and eyes, etc. My character looks slightly pensive but still has the hint of a smile.
