Game keeps crashing at the part where you need to get the laser to the other side of the room.

Took me about 6 tries and I got past without crashing, this is pretty much the only problem I've had with the game.

Same for me as well. going to try to figure out how to position all the lasers before i turn the first one, it seems to crash when the lasers hits one of the ourside walls, i dunno.

Good to see I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.

Hopefully I can figure it out like you did, or someone will come up with a fix. This **** is ridiculous.

Is there a fix for this? I've tried five times to do the laser blind but I'm getting nowhere fast.

Not that I know of. Maybe if Radeye comes back to this thread he could do us the favor of telling us how he positioned the lasers to keep the game from imploding. I know I will if I ever get it.

Thanks Akiada. Til then I'm going to the rest of the station and will save that for the last minute.

AHA! I have it. Forgot to grab a screenshot, but position the armor sheets to redirect the laser into the cylinder core thing directly in front of you. When you fire the laser turn around immediately and stare at the wall. I think rendering the explosion or the lasers searing the walls or whatever may be the issue. Just look away and it will be fine.

Or it was for me. Hopefully this is not a multi-nuanced issue.

I just posted a new topic about this, but I didn't know the "problem" was (so far) limited to this area. I'll certainly post the correct positioning of the lasers should I happen to find it w/o crashing and hope others will do the same.

I'll try turning away tonight. Off to work for now. Thanks Akiada. If that don't work for me, I'll check here to see if you posted Topcatt77..FYI, loved the cartoon, great name.

Thanks S_O on the compliment -- anyone who remembers Topcat the cartoon is dating themselves, though! lol

As for the sequence in which to access the computers to avoid a crash, yours *may* be different from what I used, depending on how the "reflective armors" are positioned to start with. In case my computer-access sequence doesn't work, just realize you are trying to direct the beam around the room in a big square so that it hits the mechanism directly across the room from you. The "reflective armors" in my case were angled to begin with so that the following sequence worked to destroy the mechanism: Access computers 2, 2 again, 1, 4, 4 again, then 3. You have just a bit left to do before you're outta there. Good luck to us all and may all these glitches be thrown into dark space!

I was able to bypass this problem by simply dropping the screen resolution down to 800x600 for the duration of solving this puzzle. Once the thing had gone boom, all I had to do was to up it again back to normal from options and everything was hunky-dory.
