Mass Effect 2 issue:

I've been playing mass effect and today I got to Omega for the first time, and my entire computer froze up, with beeping coming from my computer at one point, and bussing from my speakers in another.  I can play in Omega for a few minutes before this keeps on happening again and again.

At one point my computer woudnt boot up after the crash(Though this might be becouse I had to force a restart)

Talking to a friend of mine, he's thinking it might be a ruined HDD (Altough I installed the game on my external, the saves are in the internal )

Wondering if anyone else has run into this or know anything to help? I got windows 7, other games have worked fine (TF2 and L4D2, and Sims 3, even ME1) however ME2 does not, when im in omega. I had no crashes until that point. I havent tried going other places.

There is only one other program i've had another weird sound from my computer, and that's Second Life, a weird clicking sound.

I got 2GB of RAM and 64 bit Dual core processor 2.81 GHz AMD

I just tried re-installing, and the game even crashes from the menu screen if I let it stay there long enough

It also seems im not the only one with the problem: http://social.biowar...830507/2#835436

I own a physical copy

I hope there is a fix for this, becouse so far, only solution to me is a computer problem that I need to swap the old harddrive.

I made the game back when Crysis came out to be able to run it on high graphics.

I just found out that when I go into windowed mode, the problem goes away, I dont crash anymore. Though I would prefer not to play a cinematic game in window mode <.<; Patch please

It dosnt explain why it crashed in main menu when im not in windowed though.. You'd think you'd have to get into the game first before it crashes.. Well, I guess the main menu is technically a part of the game
