Dear lord, my eyes bugged out when I saw the new section in the forums for DA2. I finished DA:O back in January and since then I've continually come by in hopes a patch would've been released. It's been so long that *DA2* is supposed to be coming out.



It's a little code to unlock saves, Bioware. A piddly 2MB file to save PS3 users from potential rage at smashing the disc if consoles die.



Cripes, I thought about starting a new game, got three minutes into the character creation and dropped it because I'm not going to bother if I can't even back up my saves. It's such a shame because I want to try the other origin stories.

Yes unlocking saving would be nice. It would allow me to transport my character between the two PS3s I have in my house.

Ray did not reply, also tried Chris Priestly but no answer from him either.

This is really frustrating, it is a reasonable request and should be fairly straight forward for them to implement.

Going to try David Gaider since he seems like a decent sort and is quite active on the forums.

I used to play DA on my PS3 but now I got it on my PC.

My damn ps3 YLOD'd for a second time I have it running but I have no Idea how long it will last the only reason I got it running was so I could back up my damn DA:O and finish playing it on my little brothers ps3 this is the second time I have had a YLOD while playing dragon age and I'm quite livid that I cant simply back up my saved data and finish the game what the hell

New info on this on the update thread. Short story: Fernando says DA2 shouldn't have this annoying lock. However still no word on a DAO fix.

Thanks for the updated with DA2; however, it does not fix the issue we DAO.

Just adding my support for this thread. Recently I had my Ps3 placed and lost my DA: O save, fortunately I was only about 2 hours in.



Please, unlock the save. Especially if it will be compatable with DA2. Capcom unlocked RE5 so I know it is possible through a patch.

I emailed ea support and the guy didn't seem to understand what I was saying. He just said that my save must be corrupted and to restart the game, despite me explaining all about my PS3 dying and the copy lock preventing me from backing up. It's like he didn't even read what I wrote.

Unlock the saves BioWare! I don't get why you would lock them in the first place!

God, now since they releasing an Ultimate Edition they should unlock saves. Many people will freak out when game won't allow even 2 characters imported in each addon + DC and Leliana's Song.
