Ok, I don't mean the mission itself sucked, just the choice that I had to make in order to get him to become loyal to me. His is the first loyalty mission I've done so far, but I'm hoping not all of them are this morally compromising. I think the worst part of it was how you could hear them screaming as they burned. *shudders*
I have to give Bioware their fair due for creating a game that is so emotionally engaging though.

I did the mission and chose to save the workers. He still becomes loyal at the end but you have to give him the "this is my ship, we have to work together as a team" speech.

You want to know the funny thing about that is? Even if you literally say "Forget loyalty!" and go save everyone, you still get his loyalty after the mission. Haha, sucks for your paragon dude, shouldn't have compromised your characters morals!

I really had no problem with it,but maybe that's because I actually liked Zaeed, so I was more then happy to help him get his revenge.

You can choose not to help him and still gain his loyalty with high enough persuasion, if you like.

huh i felt his mission was the best out of all of them besides legion cause that could carry over to me3.

What btthegeek said. I refused to pander to him and he had to do things my way. I wasn't about to let the workers suffer because HE wanted to blow up the base. Had he not done that, we could have gone straight for the Blue Suns leader. Then I gave him a stern talking to and he came around anyway.

Yeah I wasn't to concerned about getting him loyal to me when he said leave the workers. I went ahead and saved everyone and the guy he was hunting got away. I was supprised when he became loyal to me b/c I really wasn't trying to make him happy at that point.
My question is though, if you leave the workers and let them burn do you get a chance to kill the gang leader or does he still get away?

Yep. OP how dare you compromise on your principles. Speaking as a Renegade, even I chose to save the people.
ME1 SPOILER I killed the batarian terrorist leader in ME1 DLC and would do so again though.

Dammit. I knew I should have taken the high road! Thanks for the info. I'll have to go back and replay it.
To answer your question hgroce15, *spoilers* you actually do kill the leader. It's a cutscene so technically, you don't do anything, but you see Zaeed get his revenge. It's a really good scene, but I think I would prefer the Paragon option.

Zaeed kills him in a very satisfying way.

Goes to show you one thing, Stand by your Morals and Principles!
No character (or his/her loyaltyPower) is worth it for you to budge on your principles!

I know. I'm glad I posted here or I might have made the same mistake with the rest of my crew.
That's what I get for trying to let my crew influence me instead of the other way around.

Well, that's just human (letting others influence you), Megs
But think about that regarding the rest of the crew.

Yeah, paragon Sheps have some pretty badass moments in ME2. I think Bioware took into account any complaints about how paragons seemed to be pushovers in ME1. I've gotten to punch at least two people so far while choosing paragon interrupts! Haha.

I think the only time I ever felt morally compromised was with Mordin's loyalty mission. (Even though Mordin's writer told me there was no way to fail the loyalty mission) Zaeed's sounds like it's going to be another tough one. =/

Punching Zaeed in the face was the best paragon response ever, except maybe pushing the Volus over on Illium
