If I import a ME2 character, will I still be able to change his class? (want to change from a soldier to a biotic.)

Dude, you are way early to even be thinking about this.

Are you talking about importing an ME 2 character in ME 3 or what? Maybe I am confused.

No you can't. It'll already be picked for you, it'll just skip that part of the character creation screen.

Importing from ME1 to ME2: yes, you can change your class.

Importing from ME2 to ME2: no, you cannot change your class.

You can still import after choosing to keep playing after the end, but make sure your saves are up to date because you don't want the autosave to get overwritten by loading up earlier saves for whatever reason and walking around.

For me, it automatically created a new career. I didn't have to worry about overwriting anything.

Alright, but if  in ME1 I had a Soldier class, and then already imported him and played (beat) ME2 with him, can I import him again and change his class?

You could but you wouldn't start at the same level you ended ME2 with. You'd be back at level 1 (or 2 from the bonus).

What bonuses would I get from Mass Effect 1, with a level 59 character imported (and changed to biotic)? Would I get extra points to spend?

You get bonuses to paragon/renegade points depending on how you played the imported save, 30,000 creds for importing a character from ME1, 100K creds if your character was rich, a bunch of minerals to start the game, and I think you begin at level 2 or 3.

Alright, and  I can change my class, for sure?

If you want to be able to reimport, that endgame save has to exist.

When I imported my ME1 character there was no option to change class. It was just what I finished the last game off with.
