Game: Mass Effect 2 CE (Boxed from Game)

Ok
so yesterday I got my game, installed it without any issues and
managed to get in and successfully play with everything on max settings (minus AA). It was working great but I
hadn't installed any kind of DLC content.

Today comes, I
manage to launch the game fine once more but as soon as I come out
of it and install my DLC content, the launcher just refuses to load
the game. I can click on Play and my cursor then turns to the loading
circle/egg timer to show its trying to load but then it just stops.
I've watched the process through Task Manager and I can see it trying
to load MassEffect2.exe to run the game, but it just seems to give up
after roughly 7 or so seconds and does nothing at all.

The DLC
I had installed were the following:

Blood Dragon Armor
Normandy Crash Site
Colelctor's Weapon and Armor
Zaeed - The Price of Revenge

Now I have tried
to completely uninstall the game and reinstall 3 times and still I'm
not able to get the game to work

Am
I doing something terribly wrong here?

All my drivers are up
to date after having done a fresh OS install last weekend and nothing's changed from last night until now - well, apart from the DLC install.

Is anyone else getting this?
