Ok, so I bought Dragon Age and got the code for the Blood Dragon armor, entered it in etc etc.   My girlfriend bought Mass Effect 2 and used the cerberus code on her account, now we both intended to play mass effect 2 from the one copy we bought (silly us, right?) and yet from what I've been reading, I cant use the DLC content I got from paying 60$ for another game, unless I pony up and additonal 1200ms points to buy a second cerberus code?  Is there truly no way I can get around this tiny little ripoff that the cerberus network is?  I mean, nowhere was there a condition stated, written or otherwise about the blood dragon armor *needing* the cerberus network.  I'm a bit peeved at this

I had the Blood Dragon armor from Dragon Age. When I first loaded ME2, I was one of the many people who had the problem with linking their EA id and gamertag. Anyway, the Cerebrus Network would not load for me, but the Blood Dragon Armor download was still available. So I don't think it's dependant on having the Cerebrus Network.

You can't redeem armour as far as I know without connecting to the in-game Cerberus network server.

However, when my card did not work, I noticed under the new content sections that I coul purchase the Cerberus network just fine for 1200 MS, so I said **** this server problem bull**** and just bought it. That's how I just managed to DL Zaeed and the Normandy Crash Site (Which isn't all that great anyways to tell you the truth). I'm still unable to DL my own BDA and my Colector's gear as well, I'm assuming until my connections stops timing out/EA fixes their ****ing servers (But I've heard that this problem is not quite as proliferant as some of the other issues).

I was pretty much in the same situation. I bought the CE for my boyfriend and he redeemed the Cerberus Network code for himself. We figured it would be like Dragon Age, where we both could access the content as long as we were on the same 360. We soon realized that since he had redeemed the Cerberus code, I couldn't even gain access to the Blood Dragon Armor I was supposed to get from Dragon Age. You do need the Cerberus Network to download any DLC for this game. We proceeded to contact EA and to make a long story short, they took very good care of me and now I have the Cerberus Network and all the DLC ( after how many days ).

So my advice is to call them up or contact them via your EA Account and explain the situation of not being able to get the Dragon Age Armor. They should be able to help you out. :)

I had just about the same situation, but I figured it out! You DO NOT need Cerberus Network for BDA. I looked on my DA:O code redemption card and it said in the directions,

"1. Start Mass Effect 2 and log in to your EA/Bioware account." Now I can't do this because you would need Cerberus Network, BUT there is a workaround. In the main game menu, before you are in-game, it should say Resume, New Game, etc. at the bottom it should say "New Content Available" just click on that and you will be brought to a download screen and there you go! Just download and install the BDA and you're set to go! Hope this helps anyone stuck!
