Its sad I'm one of the very few who realizes how incredibly perfect and superior this game is over ME1. Only thing I can immediately complain about is the helmet toggle thing and that the planet scanner is a bit slow. Still faster than the Mako though, I'll give you that. Facial anims for some characters can get funky sometimes, but it's not that big a difference from ME1 so I can live with it.
Personally, I find the new equipment system to be 1000 times better than the one in ME1. No more pointless and ridiculous overdrops. No more 150 item limit. Money actually means something this time around. Instead of getting individual weapons for you and your party members, one found schematic can be used to outfit the entire team.
And ammo is perfectly fine. It gives you a sense of tactical urgency rather than the "Spray and Spray"-thing ME1 had going. And the red veins are much less annoying than they first appeared. You don't really have time to focus on them in middle of the combat, yet they are noticeable enough to get their point across. Simple and perfect solutions.
And finally - Ray Muzyka. I forgive you for your overuse of "emotionally engaging", because now I know you weren't just talking out of your *ss. I salute you all on your best game ever, BioWare. You are gods.

Great story, GREAT characters and Gameplay.
My one and only complaint is that Cover/Vault/Run is on same button. That's all!
I actually have more fun with ME2 than DA:O!

Though I do agree that ME2 is miles ahead of ME1. Would like the PC versions to not have a do-it-all spacebar though. I do have a keyboard.

Only reason i am here writing on the forum is my girlfriend who hijacked my 360
so that she could play Lego Rock Band.
That sucks =(

I think ME2 is a massive improvement over ME1. I'm glad they dropped the inventory and the heat system for guns.
I'm kind of miss crouching, grenade throwing and the possibility to tell your comrades what to attack and when to change into defensive mode though.
The core game lasted longer than ME1, for me at least, too.

ME1 was great, but flawed. ME2 is a masterpiece.

It's everything that ME1 wasn't.
Which is a fancy way of saying it's nothing at all like ME1... which is ultimately why the people who liked ME1 are complaining.
Its sad I'm one of the very few who realizes how incredibly perfect and superior this game is over ME1.
Yes, those sad unfortunate people who don't see things the same way as you. It's too bad they can't all be rounded up and re-educated somewhere. How dare they think differently!?

Really? I played through ME1 no less than 6 times and at no point did I ever reach the inventory limit. I simply visited the Normandy Requisition Officer between each mission (which conveniently also gave me an opportunity to speak with my crew below deck) and sold off any unneeded equipment. This had the bonus effect of meaning that I was never short on credits either.
Money actually means something this time around.
How so? Because there are tons of needless credit sinks (ie: fuel, probes, fish, pets and other miscelaneous junk)?

The rest of your post is pure opinion, which I won't waste my time arguing against except to say that I completely disagree.

Yes we all know you hate the game JKoop
Where did I ever say I hated the game? I dislike the new direction in which BioWare has taken it and it's certainly not the sequel to Mass Effect that I was hoping for or expecting, but it's a decent enough game in it's own right.
The way the BioWare fanboys act though, you'd think every complaint against ME2 was completely without merit and we were all just complaining because we like the sound of our own voices. At no point have I (or really any of the other "whiners" I've seen on this forum) ever just said "this game blows" without offering up a reason why. Every complaint I've made and seen made about the game has been in regards to specific features that were either added or removed that some people happen to disagree with.
If some people happen to think everything is fine and ME2 is the greatest game ever made, then I'm happy for them. But to shrug off the legitimate complaints of a good sized chunk of the community as "Oh, they're just a bunch of whiners" or as if something is just wrong with them is more than a little insulting. After all, it was people whining about ME1 that got things changed in the first place. What works for the goose, works for the gander. Turn about is fair play.
