Best game ever. Period.

Even Casual is too hard for a hardcore gamer like me. And it's not a real RPG, even though at one point I spent around two hours in the game without firing a single gun shot.
Bioware how could you abandon your REAL fans -- the ones with no skill -- by making a game that actually requires talent, and a reaction speed faster than that of a Sloth?

For being so insignifigant and unimportant we certainly seem to have the "BioWare buttkissers" in an uproar...

Its sad I'm one of the very few who realizes how incredibly perfect and superior this game is over ME1. Only thing I can immediately complain about is the helmet toggle thing and that the planet scanner is a bit slow. Still faster than the Mako though, I'll give you that. Facial anims for some characters can get funky sometimes, but it's not that big a difference from ME1 so I can live with it.
Personally, I find the new equipment system to be 1000 times better than the one in ME1. No more pointless and ridiculous overdrops. No more 150 item limit. Money actually means something this time around. Instead of getting individual weapons for you and your party members, one found schematic can be used to outfit the entire team.
And ammo is perfectly fine. It gives you a sense of tactical urgency rather than the "Spray and Spray"-thing ME1 had going. And the red veins are much less annoying than they first appeared. You don't really have time to focus on them in middle of the combat, yet they are noticeable enough to get their point across. Simple and perfect solutions.
And finally - Ray Muzyka. I forgive you for your overuse of "emotionally engaging", because now I know you weren't just talking out of your *ss. I salute you all on your best game ever, BioWare. You are gods.
Im in that boat too buddy! This game is at the top of my all time list.

I'd say it's comments like these along with the tons of spam and repeat threads now clogging the forums that has people like me in an "uproar". You can think Mass Effect is a pile of dog **** for all I care, but when you (not specifically YOU but others) clog up these forums with repeat threads, and constantly attack any post/thread that disagrees with you (again not specifically YOU) thats when we have a problem.

Thing is, there are probably just as many posts "clogging up" the forums from people whining and complaining about people whining and complaining as there are posts from people actually complaining about ME2. It seems like any criticism whatsoever gets right under the skin of these people and they can't let it go until everyone thinks that ME2 is the greatest game ever like they do.

I was expecting Dragon Age to be the best game ever. But it isn't. Mass Effect 2 makes Dragon Age look... simple by comparison. In Dragon Age, doing a side-quest for one of your characters will be a simple task of going to a house that looks like every other house, having a dialogue, and maybe, maybe getting into a fight. In ME2, by comparison, every side quest feels like a treat, with a wholly unique (and sometimes amazingly interactive) environment, great dialogue and story paced throughout the mission, and lots of quality action.
Basically, Dragon Age feels completely dull to me now. You have a game where your side quests entail going to point A for the hundredth time to talk to some person and that's it - you're done. Or you have Mass Effect - where every sidequest takes you someplace new and different, and you just never know what to expect. I remember landing on a random unexplored planet, only to find my Shepard walking on top of a giant spaceship (several times the size of Normandy) that is crumbling all around her. She gets off the hull of this ship after find a flight record, and then we see the ship lose it's balance and topple off the edge of a cliff. Even the action - Dragon Age is simply about spamming your best talents, whereas Mass Effect truly has made an interesting shooter that requires tactics and planning to ensure success on higher difficulties. I find it far more enjoyable that Dragon Age or Mass Effect 1. I could NOT care less whether people call it an RPG.
This game REALLY surprised the hell out of me. The depth, the variety. BioWare set a new standard, and I've just never been this entertained by a video game in many, many years.

And, yeah, your criticism is very contrite and helpful.

I posted a thread similar to this and I think its safe to say there arent only a few of us who think this game outdid the first in every way and is a perfect masterpiece. I thought so too at first, but with the amount of copies sold and more people posting threads like these, it seems the haters are alot fewer than the lovers. Thank the Enkindlers

Those should be locked as well. Repeat threads complaining about complainers are just as bad as repeat complaint threads. Again just to reinforce my last post I know YOU aren't making repeat threads, just saying the repeat threads are waaaaay out of control at this point.

This game fell way short of perfect (for which I was hopeing for). I will not utter the same rhetoric of others (we all know what they are). I will say that the complainer threads are far out waying the ass kissing in this forum. Scanning planets is rediculously boring. It actually put me to sleep. ME3 will have promise but my expectation are lowered with this game.JKoopman wrote...

Which is a fancy way of saying it's nothing at all like ME1... which is ultimately why the people who liked ME1 are complaining.
Sure, there are differences in the gameplay, but to say that ME2 is nothing like ME1 is really silly. I very, very much liked ME1 and think that ME2 is an improvement in pretty much every area.
Really? I played through ME1 no less than 6 times and at no point did I ever reach the inventory limit. I simply visited the Normandy Requisition Officer between each mission (which conveniently also gave me an opportunity to speak with my crew below deck) and sold off any unneeded equipment. This had the bonus effect of meaning that I was never short on credits either.
I would honestly think that you would fall into the minority with never hitting the invenory limit. I personally found it a pain to take that elevator ride down to the requisition officer. Unfortunately, the crew members rarely had anything new to say, unless you had just finished one of the main quests. I rarely ever sold anything, but never had a problem with credits either (especially when doing a new game+, where items and money were useless)
How so? Because there are tons of needless credit sinks (ie: fuel, probes, fish, pets and other miscelaneous junk)?
The few items you mentioned are all relatively inexpensive, and aside from the fuel and probes, are totally optional. The bulk of your credits will go towards armor pieces and modifications, weapon modifications, biotic and tech upgrades, etc. The only thing worth spending money on in ME1 were licenses, medi and grenade max adjusters, specter weapons, and the rare Colossus X (if you didn't already have it).

I disagree, I still think Deus Ex is the best game ever.
Personally, there are too many games of too many different genres and types for me to try and pick my all-time favorite. Starcraft, Deus Ex, Supreme Commander, Exile/Avernum, Prince of Persia SoT... the list is huge! I love games
(And I never hit the inventory limit either... 150 is HUGE. You only hit it if you never deal with anything... I usually made two or three planet-falls before sorting through mine, and still never hit it in any of my play-throughs...)
