I have looked at some things and I had a question about factors that effect the ending.
Is it more of the choices made in the game or is it the values on the Paragon/Rengade Bar that is key in determining whether your ending appears more paragon or renegade like? (Mostly this question is in tie in with use of the glitch, some stuff I have read suggest that that if you glitched to max pragon and renagade, you will always have a more paragon ending)

Question is based on the 2nd point of the 3 point ending varables (Council Survival - Player Morality - Representative Chosen)

Possibly curious if game actually keeps track of paragon/renegade ratings beyond known maximums for purpose of selecting endings.

(And yes, I know glitching ain't good, and ain't ain't a word, I just want to know what others may know about this subject)

Thanks in advance (for answers or the negative comments I know someone can't resist using)

There are four possible endings in ME1, and it basically all boils down to the very last decision you make:

1. You save the Council. (Humanity is invited to join the Council.)

2. You focus on Sovereign, and have more Paragon points. (Humanity becomes the head of a new Council, with assistance from the other races. From what I hear, this is the default choice if you start a fresh game in ME2.)

3. You focus on Sovereign, and have more Renegade points. (Humanity forms a new, human-only Council.)

4. You let the Council die. (Same as #3.)

So it is based more of the Points than it is one the events?

(As said, this question relates more to the glitch for more paragon/renegade)

So what would happen if I had Full Paragon and Renegade because I used a glitch (Hypothetically speaking of course)

What I saw reading some post on other places suggest that if you have full Paragon and renegade the ending is the paragon. But I wanted some confirmation or denial of this.

I'm not sure to be honest, but if you're worried about getting Paragon ending when you want Renegade you can use the console (on PC version anyway) to lower your paragon score

Tested this out on my last playthrough by using the console to aalter myP/R points.
What happens if the council dies is entirely based on your P/R points.  Obviously if you save the council humanity is invited to join the council etc.
If you tell the fleet to focus on sovereign and your paragon points >= renegade, you get the human-led council.  Only if renegade > paragon do you get the all human council.  So if you've got full paragon and full renegade, you get the human-led council.

I did not check the 'let the council die' option. I'll have to check that out.

Thanks (we bit disappointed, not not really too much, unless I hear the all human council is just awsome to interact with in ME2) Although I kinda have a couple other questions about how the paragon/renegade value is tracked. Am curious because I guide I uses says max paragon is on bar is 324, while max renegade is 340 (Does the game seem to track paragon/renegade outside this range?)

(Yes, I am being a wee bit overly technical)
