This is supposed to be for the devs of this game, but feel free to add comments or discuss the topic but please no trolling or flaming.

I first want to thank you for a great game.
My biggest concern about this game is that it was always marketed as play your own Shepard, yet I and many others, as can be seen by the various threads on this topics and groups discussing it, am restricted from playing the Shepard that we want to by  the lack of LIs for a same-sex-romance. This is especially saddening considering there are three options per gender for straight Shepards (and Kelly). Don’t get me wrong I don’t expect every LI to swing both ways and that there should be as many gay as straight options because I am fully aware that  those pursuing those romances are a minority and that resources are limited, but three to none is a very big difference.

The point of this letter is that there are many Bioware fans that would want both a m/m and a f/f option and to express my hope that you will not let these fans down again in ME3.
Of course if you could add something before that, like a new character through DLC or a patch that unlocks the romance from some of the existing LI (where it fits the character like Jack or Garrus ) also for a same-sex Shepard that would be awesome.

PS. Chris I know this topic tend to lead trolling  but don’t be too strict with closing it, the last one in the non- spoiler -section recovered from several attempts of derailing it and I hope this one will too.

I hate you people for demanding this. Just because you have different sexual preferences doesn't mean the game should be. Yes you play your own Shepard but it's more than any other game and only as much as Bioware allows it. They're not bound to do whatever you please. Maybe they don't want the characters they create to be Les/Gay. It could be their preference.

Deal with what you've got. If you want same sex romance, maybe go find some in real life. Actually wait, you can't, which is why you're begging for a 60 second Mass Effect same sex cutscene.

Big deal.

In real world,

If humanity stick with same sex, they will extinct soon.

Those kinds are dangerous to human. (imo)

In game.. I don't mind.

You make a very good argument, but there are other things to consider.  First and foremost the romancees are an optional part of the game.  Therefore it kind of waters down any argumant because they are optional and thus show no preference as you don't have to have a relationship if you do not want too.
-----------------
Second I don't quite think that the US is ready for the option and the backlash that might come with it.  Look at the Foxnews outcry over the first game.  It was hardly accurate and not presented in the manner it was presented in game.  Bad press is bad press and Bioware needs to rake in the money so that we have ME3 and other spinoffs in the future.
----------------
Third and most important is that the game is the vision of the developers.  If their vision doe snot include something it's tough cookies.  Perhaps they didn't feel that a same sex romance was an option they wanted.  I understand why too, can you imagine the bad press, calls for boycott, and evngelists calling Bioware the devil.  No thanks.
-----------------
Personally I have no issue with same sex relationships being in the game.  However I understand why they were not implemented.  I also don't think that a videogame company should be burdened with taking on social issues, because if they were to have same sex relationships that's how it would be percieved by the public.  Sad but true.

They had same sex relationships in Dragon age, Alistar would go either way if I remember right?

Sure, if a video game wants to have a social agenda, that's fine, but it's not a requirement and I certainly don't think it should be a requirement of having a love interest in a game. You want to push the envelope? Go play Dragon Age and have a threesome in THAT game.

LOL, no, but there were lots of threads complaining about why wasn't he the gay/bi one because his lampost analogy really tripped some triggers it seems.

I have no opinion on the matter being discussed, just wanted to correct the Dragon Age thing... Zevran, on the other hand, was able to be romanced whether PC was male, female, dwarf, human, or elf.... but then again apparantly it's not gay if it's an elf.

Dragon Age had it.
Mass Effect (semi) had it with Liara (though BW now tries to backtrack on this).
Jade Empire had it.

I don't even care for a same sex cutscene, just an confirmation of feelings.

I think the only reason I'm slightly upset about no same-sex romances is that Jack basically tells you she likes girls too.

The current femshep romances are lame. A dying fishman with emotional trauma and a son. A disfigured birdman with skin like rocks, and the most boring human character of the series. Snore...

Wake me up when Tali decides she wants to experiment a little.
