Edit: I also thought here loyalty mission was one of the best if not the best. I loved the hug you could give her if you did the paragon interrupt. I missed it the first cause I didn't have the controller in my hand at the time, had to reload the last save. I do have a problem with all the romances though, I hate how in ME 1 and ME 2 they all take place on the ship. Why not go somewhere? Walking around the persidium or something. Its gotta be better then chatting it up in the engine room. Sorry for kinda going off topic. My two cents though

She is the information girl she will find out and I know it will play a big part in ME3 if you were loyal to her or not.
I suppose we'll get to make it up to her by helping her slit the Shadow Broker's throat.

Personally, Garrus and Tali are now the most developed characters in the game. The writers did them right, stayed true to their character. The Tali romance is by far the best, and most meaningful. Tali and Garrus's reaction to you being alive is how the ME1 LI's should have acted.
Well, they should be the most developed seeing as how they're the only ones that returned to the crew.
- I'm not sure what they did with Ashley. She was nuked in my ME1 save import.
- Wrex was fairly developed, about a much as possible without him returning to the Normandy. He's basically on his way to being the Krogan king.
- I was intrigued with Kaiden's attitude. I imagine he's going to hate me in ME 3, since I handed the Collector ship to Cerberus.
- Liara has definitely "hardened". From a shy, geeky Asari scientist to a information handler looking to take down the Shadow Broker. The first thing we see of her, she's dealing out threats. She also killed her assistant who turned out to be a spy. Not sure if I like the complete change of character, but we'll see how it all works out in ME3.
For me, Jack is the worst character. I was disappointed she made it in the end. I'll probably replay it for ME3 so that she dies. I'm sick of looking at her bald head and nasty tattoos. Her personality is wonderful too. Guh. I was glad when I didn't have to talk to her anymore. "**** off" was pretty mutual.

Liara/Tali and Garrus are the only one who don't judge you because you work with Cerberus.
It bothered Tali quite a bit that Shepard was working with Cerberus, but her love of Shepard, and the importance of the mission, were enough for her to come back.

Less than Ashley or the council
But anyway .. Shepard wake up after 2 years .. got to fight his way out ... he's basicly told he was rebuilt from meat and tube....He's told a couple day later that he has to take on some dangerous aliens that harvest human and he need to save the world again !The coucil Call shepard crazy .. and ashley (My LI) basicly tell me that i'm not the same guy and i'm EVIL!
i got a big
*HEREEEE WWWE GOOOOOOO*
Seriously in ME2 it's like you're saving the world when everyone eat their sandwitch and don't give a rats ass (which's true)
I was always a Paragon but i'm turning slowly but surely renegade..I want that terminator eye anyway

You weren't going to get help from the Council anyway. They already covered up the whole Reaper thing. I'm surprise they didn't try a smear campaign trying to make you look crazy after you return to the Citadel.

I find the whole Council never trusting or listening to Shepard getting really played out now. Mass Effect 3 ... I see the council playing Bagdad Bob in Iraq. "There are no reapers in known space. It is all lies."

Now I'm going to have to replay ME1, with no romance, I want to see both liara and Tali romance in ME3, but Don't think it would be right to betray Liara like that.
Au Contraire - I think it's going to be interesting to see what happens both ways. I'm doing one playthrough with me staying loyal to Liara, one with Tali. Best of both worlds! >.>

Went with Tali (despite romancing Liara in ME1) given that Liara almost didn't seem to give a **** that I was even alive...NOT to mention the sudden head turn after the initial kiss when first meeting. And that's not even discussing her turning into crazy information broker! "I was dead for two years, and all I got to show for it was a lousy kiss." Now I will have to do another ME1 playthrough where I don't trigger any Romance and just go for Tali in ME 2.

Dear lord.
The amount of games you can make?
I currently seven games, three being the same one, going as high as possible, the rest with different combat types.
Now I've got to have all sorts of saves for who I got with, AND now I have to have ones where people die, people live how they affect it.
I never let Wrex die, so I have no idea how the game changes for that.
So in short, Bioware has created the crack-cocaine of video games. 50 hours of gameplay (if played straight through little sidequests) per story. Times that by how many romance combinations you can have, and who can die, who can live. if background choices matter.
Oh, and to the original topic, Tali is the best character, hands down.

It would be a tragedy if it were not possible to have her available for ME3... I dread the thought. Likewise for Garrus as well tbh.

Completely agree with Tali being the perfect character in ME2, and IMO was the canon love interest in the game given her recruitment/loyalty missions and conversations.

Garrus and Tali are the best characters in the game, between the character development and dialogue.

Very true. I kept Tali and Wrex in my squad the entire time in ME 1. Garrus was awesome but didn't match my playstyle (Bastion Adept).
