It's far from perfect, but I'm glad to see this time around she has some personality other than being a talking-walking codex entry.

But in fact, she's just a character, a well-written one however.

I'd still take the asari bartender from Eternity (EDI: Anti-immolate measures activated)

Tali is number one character in this game I brought them all home, but I was determined to make sure she survived above all. Her interactions, character development, and personality are spot on. Kudos to BioWare, she really is fantastic.

Garrus trying to play Batman on Omega was pretty awesome.

Garrus, Tali, and Wrex are my Top 3. Liara's personality swing was disappointing. Jack, she can die for all I care. I don't need her whiny, pissed-off-all-the-time attitude.

Tali was amazing, wonderful job Bioware did on here, other favorites go to Jacob, Miranda, and Zaeed. Wasn’t too fond of Jack or Thane honestly.

I was on the verge of tears when Tali was crying over her dead father.

One of the most genuinely emotional moments of the game thus far.  I've yet to recruit Thane, Samara or Legion but Tali is the perfect squadmate thus far.  So loyal, dedicated and indeed... loving whether you're female or male Shepard.

I was on the fence about who I wanted to romance until I heard Tali's audio journal on Haestrom where she said something along the lines of "I wish Shepard were here to see this." She sounded so sad and it made my mind up instantly.

You have no idea how quickly I visited destruction upon the unjust after I heard that.   I went from there to staring down that gigantic geth in a matter of seconds.  It was really awesome to be a vanguard at the time.  Other classes have to fight there way across, I just zipped across and shot them all in the back.

I agree Tali is one of my favorite sci fi characters, I love the way Bioware wrote her she's just really cute at times When she sends her little kill ball thing out *Can't remember her name* "Good Girl *Name Here* Go get them!" XD I lol'd

I loved her backstory too baby Tali in a bubble *dies from the cute x.x* or finding out about the promise of building an home for her. I totally wanted an option of saying something like "I'll build that home for you Tali, I promise!"

One of the options in her Loyalty mission goes something like this: "You'll see your homeworld again Tali, if the admirals can't do it, I will."

when and where? cuz last time i made her angry or something.

Not sure, I'll have to replay it and tell you for certain.  I know it's there though.

To the guy who sent Tali with the fire team: Look at Tali's description and how her other two teams faired?  How would you make Tali the leader of the fire team, learn 2 lead.

On reflection, seeing Shepard's maintained positive reaction was satisficatory for now, bring on ME3!

Bioware listened to the fans and made Tali far more compelling than she was in the first game. I mean, I liked her before, but now I'm a diehard Tali fanatic.

Go for the optics, Chitika!

I persued the love intrest with tali and because of that I kept her on my squad during the sucide mission. At the end of the game when everything is going to hell on the platforms Tali was the one that started to slide off. I nearly had I heart attack, I really thought she was ngoing to die. Good work bioware

man i was the same way, that was just crazy

I just wish they didnt give Tali comments similar to Aerie, I hated that elf, though I do have my own space hamster I guess. Out of all characters, Tali generally had to come with me since she was a very good character on her various insights into things in ME1, though she didnt seem to talk alot during ME2, she was still useful when she did, and had her bots to grab enemies attention so I could basically run around like an idiot with a machine gun.

I'd really consider whether I'd bother to even buy ME3 if they didnt have her as a squad member. Plus I'd like to see a whole quarian/geth alliance angle with her around if it came to that.

Tali and Garrus are the only old crew you've got. From my perspective, they're basically Shepard's only real friends (well, others from ME2 might apply, like Thane and Mordin) who stick with him no matter what. It is only logical that my maleShep romances Tali, while femShep goes for Garrus. I value friendship above all.
They were the most interesting characters of ME1, and it is positively thrilling to see them being the stars of ME2. If something happens to them in ME3, it won't just be a ****storm on the forums, like people said. I hope they won't give us a hard choice of saving one of them or [insert large number of sentients].

hawat333: and I would agree with you - the bartender rocks. Among secondary NPCs, of course.

Tali's like my sister. (Which made the romantic proposition a LITTLE awkward, though it was cute to see her get all flustered.)

It's too bad gameplay-wise she's not as useful as an ME1. You can't hack through shields, and ME2 has fewer synthetic enemies.

Before Mass Effect 2, I had three files from the original game I wanted to import: Paragon with Liara romance, Paragon with Ashley romance, and Renegade with Ashley romance.

After falling for Tali in ME2, I am going to make a change. In addition to my Liara and Ashley saves, I am going to go back to ME1 and play it without romancing anyone. Then, I can romance Tali in ME2 and have her as my main romance for ME3.

I just want to say this:Bioware has made numerous games, with many characters for the most part Bioware does an amazing job creating characters that fans love, their artwork and models are well made and well liked.

I think Bioware should have showed us Tali's face in ME2,because they do such a great job with everthing else,I think the majority of their fanbase would be happy with w.e. they choose to do with the apperance of the Quarian race.Their fanbase is happy with most of the other species in ME,we should trust them and let them be free to create the quarian apperance.(Hopefully If we do not get a Tali face in ME2 dlc, maybe we can get a random quarian's face to see if we like it or not for ME3,come on ME2 dlc.)

I think by choosing Tali in ME 2, she IS your main romance.  I think the only change in ME 3 is you will be forced to, in a probably interesting and dramatic confrontation, to choose.  Personally, I think the conflict adds a bit to the story, so I look forward to Tali and Ashley going at it.  Of course, if I have to, sorry Ashley but I got to step in on Tali's side...

Same here...my next play through is with a female Shepherd who will stay loyal to Liara to see what happens.  Otherwise, if I play male again, I don't think I could turn down Tali!  This is what happened in Dragon Age, as I could never break Leliana's heart...

I felt bad about leaving Liara for her, but there is no way I could resist. One of the best written characters by far. Everything was awesome. The loyalty mission, the romance. As probably a billion others have said, the only thing I wish is that we got to see her without the suit/helmet.

I've started my second playthrough and I'm going to make saves just before every encounter/special conversation with Tali. I've done it with Wrex in the first game and I'll probably do this with Mordin as well
