So when I start a new game I import my ME1 character then it gives you list of the big decsions you made, for the KIA part it says Kaiden was killed in action, which is true, I let him die.  However when I'm on the shuttle with Miranda and Jacob they ask me why i allowed Ashley to die and I have no option to say it was actually Kaiden who died.

Any help?

Oh and Ashley was alive and well on the Normandy at the start
